Select a profitable dividend paying listed company. The company must have debt in its capital
structure. Download the Financial Statements for a period of 5 years. Study the Directors
Report. Auditors Report as well as the Notes to the Accounts to identify any significant changes
reported in them.
1. Identify the Revenue Model and the likely drivers.
2. Trace the company’s competitors and the market. Explain the basis of your conclusion
3. Project the FCF of the chosen company for 5 years. Explaining how the growth and cost
estimates have been made.
4. Using the DCF approach estimate the value of equity and compare this with the Book
Value and Market Value per share.
5. Using the Economic Value Added framework establish its equivalence with the DCF
value attained.
