Catherine Cooke

Objective

As a 16 year old, I would like to get a part-time job to become more independent in terms of paying for myself
and saving for the future. I am interested in jobs in fields such as retail and catering as I think my skills would be
best suited for these.

Experience

For 2 years I was responsible for assisting in the delivery of lessons to a young cheer leading class on a voluntary
basis, which gave me confidence in leading a group of people and the ability to communicate clearly. I have also
helped with the admin and bookkeeping for ‘Stefanie’s sewing room’, which helped me understand the way a
business works and finance. Furthermore, I worked as a casual food and beverage assistant at Burhill golf club
in Hersham for 5 months, from June 2018 until November 2018, under the employment of Reshu Choudhary.
From this, I gained knowledge about all aspects involved in providing excellent customer service and learnt how
to effectively work as a team in order to achieve this.

Education

I completed my GCSEs at Salesian School in Chertsey in June 2018. I completed exams in English Literature,
English Language, Maths, Combined Science, French, Drama, Textiles and Business and attained grades ranging
from a 6 (B) to an 8 (A*), six of which were between an A and an A*. I am now studying A levels in English
Literature, Philosophy and Ethics, and Theatre Studies at Salesian sixth form and am predicted to get two As and
a B by the end of year 13.

Qualities/ Skills

The qualities I consider myself to have are hard-working, punctual, determined and trustworthy. During my time
at school, I learnt how to use various software’s such as photoshop and excel, which I believe would be helpful
in a work place.

Hobbies

Since the age of 3 I have attended the Carlo Rossi School of Dance, were I have learnt disciplines such as tap,
ballet, point, cheer, freestyle and drama. I also thoroughly enjoy activities such as skiing, rock climbing and water
sports.

Achievements

 Nominated 3 times for IDTA dance scholarships for grade 4 and 5 ballet and grade 4 modern
 My cheer squad came first in BCA summer showdown 2018
 Main part in school production of Sound of Music
 Attainment of 10 GCSEs between the equivalent of an A* to B
