The Clubbable Drudger

Social work, the work done by someone who works for a

government or private organization that helps people who have
financial or family problems. Socialization is difficult for the
people or person who belong to the introvert club. Socialization
is hard, how much more when you need to socialize because that is
your work. Many people tend to judge social worker by their work,
but they do not know that being a social worker is hard work
specially to those people who has experienced lack of money.
A 56 years old woman who is very industrious and loving
to her four children. Because of her hard work and patience, some
of her children has finished their studies and have their own
profession. Her eldest child, a Food Technology graduate. The
second to the eldest child? An engineer. And her fourth child is
currently studying in our own school, Dońa Juana Chioco National
High School. 31 years in the field of socialization or social work
is not easy for a mother of four. Struggles and Challenges are
already there, all she need to do is to surpass it and make her
hard works pay off. But those challenges are not easy to face.
Because of what she did, she has already achieved it. Hard works
has pay off. She took the course of Bachelor of Science Major in
Primary Education. A teaching profession is not easy at all. You
need to socialize with other person, and Social Work takes place.
For me, to be a teacher you must bring a lot of confidence because
in that field, you need to talk, socialize, and overcome the
challenges that may come. And one of the challenges that she
mentioned to us is when the Annual Graduation of the Day Care-
Nursery comes, there are parents that who get mad at her because
as I said earlier, Social Work is a work done by someone who works
for a government or private organization that helps people who
have financial or family problems so that means, you may encounter
a parents who is mad, upset, or having a hard time finding money.
The most memorable memory of her own is when she encountered a
parent who got mad to her because the name of the parent is not
listed in the invitation program of the Annual Graduation. She is
currently living in Brgy. Poblacion South, Lupao, Nueva Ecija and
she is assigned to work in her own Barangay as a Day Care Center
Teacher. The most fun moment that she is experiencing even right

now is when she is teaching the little kids. Of course, neither do

I will be happy and glad to see those children learning and having
fun with me. There is a part of tiredness in her eyes, but when
she is teaching the kids already, I know that she will be happy.
And that is a narrative report of a loving and industrious mother,
nanay, mama, or inay named Mrs. Yolanda P. Valiente.
To be a social worker, you need to have a lot of
confidence, hard work, and patience. Without those three words,
you will be having a hard time to socialize with the person or
people who will be going to be a part of your journey or your
chosen profession. Let us be proud of the social workers who has
been a part of our daily living, community, or society. I think
without them our country will not be a progressive one if not
because of them. Maybe, we might say that they are only a social
worker, but that you call a social worker will change your life
and make our country progressive. Mrs. Yolanda P. Valiente is one
of the heroes of our country.
