INTRODUCTION

In this project, integration and differentiation is applied. Integration is the reverse method to
differentiation, and has wide applications, for instance, in this case, areas beneath curves needs to be find.
This section explains what's meant by integration and provides several customary integration techniques.

Next, differentiation is the method of finding the by-product, or rate of change, the sensible technique of
differentiation is administered by strictly pure mathematics manipulations, using 3 basic derivatives, four
rules of operation, and a data of the way to manipulate functions.

In problem 1,there are 12 traffic data collection around Parit Raja.Using this data,a graph of Volume vs
Time and Average Speed vs Time is plotted. The interval is identified over which the function is changing
in specific ways (increasing, decreasing or constant). Then, to find the rate of change (within 15 minutes),the
following formula is used.

Besides, all relative maximum and minimum number is located and the absolute maximum and minimum
number is evaluated. Then, graph of Cumulative Volume vs Time plotted, the following is obtained from
graph;
a) Rate of change for each 15 minutes.
b) Rate of change of graph.
For problem 2, data of concrete prism under flexural load is given:-
Foamed concrete (Density 1400)-Flexural Strength (N) vs Deflection (m)

To find the energy of concrete, area under graph is attained using 2 method ;
I. Portioning the area under graph and manually calculate each portion area using trapezium area
formula under the graph
(Area of trapezium= ½ (a + b)h

II. 5 different trendline obtained, and the area calculated.

Then, answers from those 2 methods is compared.
