Introduction:

School Leadership is the process of enlisting and guiding the talents and energies of
teachers, pupils and parents toward achieving common educational aims. This is second only
to teaching among school-related factors in its impact on students learning, according to
research. Moreover, strongly shape the condition for high quality teaching and the prime
factor in determining whether teacher stay in high needs schools. School leadership is also
the most significant in school influence on student outcomes. Principals and other school
leaders should have fundamental role to play to achieve overall System improvement for the
children.

Methodology:

This topic School Leadership provides information on how to demonstrate leadership


in school, How can school leadership be improved, what make a good school leader and what
are the roles and responsibilities of a Leader.

Results and Discussion:

Being a leader is not an easy task. It is a big responsibility on the part of a leader. To
become a leader is also a role model. A leader should always try her nest for the benefit of the
school, students, teachers and parents. School leadership can be improved through utilizing
data and resources like having vision and plan, sets expectation for everyone that includes
teacher, students, staff and themselves. Creating learning environment that are collaborative
and accepting of everyone and constantly find ways to improve instruction.
A good school leader always present a positive, pro-active and caring approach. Make
a time to talk with parents, students and teachers. Getting to know and value them by
developing authentic relationship.
As a school leader they should know their responsibilities. They will play an
important role in developing and contributing to curriculum development, Providing
mentoring, Supervision, professional support, counseling and guidance for teachers.
