The Eagle Valley School District board postponed discussing the district's future until January 2011 when newly elected board members take office. The district is in dire financial condition after voters rejected three bond issues in 2009-2010 to fund new construction, repairs, and operating costs. Deteriorating buildings, lack of funds for curriculum upgrades, and inability to add staff are issues facing the district. All questions about the district's path forward will be discussed when the new board convenes. Additionally, Todd County hired Rick Utech as the new Economic Development Director to help retain and grow jobs in the county through working with businesses.

75¢ Icy roads don’t stop EV school board holiday events postpones discussion of district’s future By Rin Porter On November 2, a majority of voters in the Eagle Valley School District said “no” for the third time in 12 months to ballot questions attempting to raise money for the district. All these questions and more about the future of the school district will be up for discussion when the three newly elected school board members take their places on the board in January 2011. No action will be taken until then, according to School Board Chair Joel Godding and Superintendent Jim Madsen. Godding said in an email interview, “The board has decided that the new board should be making the next decision as to what to do next. The three new board members, as any new people on a board, will always bring fresh ideas. As to what effect they will have, that
