called decantation. Since rice is
insoluble in water and it sinks
you can remove water by
spilling the water from the
container leaving the rice in it.
Decantation is also applied in
immiscible liquids such as water
and oil. Water is denser that oil
so oil floats. You can remove oil
from water through
decantation.
Show other kinds of materials
found inside their house or
within their locality that can be
separated through decantation.
e.g.: washing mongo beans in
water, oil from water, sand from
water.
