1. Persuade someone: write a “letter to the editor” explaining how the lessons you learned from your biosphere connect to our 4 Points
planet and how they’re important lessons for everyone to know.

2. Investigate carbon dioxide: design an experiment using this amazing scientific instrument that answers a question you have 5 Points
about carbon dioxide in your biosphere.

3. Take a stand: is it right to put crickets in a biosphere? Write a paragraph stating your opinion and backing it up with evidence. 3 Points

4. Plant some seeds in your biosphere. What type of seed did you choose and why? What do you notice? 1 Point

5. Create your own challenge. If you can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that your challenge will answer a productive question 5 Points
that you have, then your teacher will approve your challenge!

6. Teach someone: teach a family member how to make a mini biosphere in a jar or tupperware. Take photos and check in with 4 Points
them two times to see how their biosphere is changing.

7. Write a play or comic strip that uses the different forms of life/nonlife inside your biosphere (plants, bugs, soil, water, etc) as 3 Points
characters and explains how they interact with each other.

8. Research the Biosphere 2 experiment. Write three ways that their experiment is the same or different from ours. 1 Point

9. Interview a scientist about what they would put in their biosphere and why. How are their ideas the same or different from yours? 5 Points

10. Diagram relationships: use the earth systems diagram to show all of the relationships that are happening inside your biosphere. 2 Points
