Formative assessment notes from Lesson 1 and 3

Kindergarten

Braiden 1: Contributed to class discussions. Interrupted class discussion.


Did not stay on task during task work, and needed much
assistance from peers/adults.

3: Stayed focused, showed good colouring and listening skills. Was


a leader and told his story first when no one else volunteered. Used
character voices to an extent (gingerbread boy only).

Chase 1:Showed good listening. Completed cut and paste in proper


order.

3: Showed good listening and colouring skills. Was slightly shy


when telling story, but did get the main points across from the
story, and sued character voices for the most part.

Gage 1: Showed good listening and participated in class discussion. Cut


and paste in the correct order, and began colouring scene 1.

3: Demonstrated good listening, colouring and leadership skills by


telling his story first. Storytelling ability was great, got all of the
characters right and told the correct story. Used character voices to
an extent.

Leila 1: Showed good listening and participated in class discussions.

unrealistic color use even though he was instructed to multiple
times. Told the story in the correct order, and used some character

multiple times, in order to focus on his work/coloring. Was not able
to retell the story using character voices. Forgot the order of the
characters, but when asked individually, he was able to recall the
sequence.

the correct order on their own, and showed their best colouring
skills.

Griffin Absent day 1

entire time (near the end he got restless). Mrs. Chinn had to sit with
him to ensure he was staying on task and putting the images in the
right order.
