INFORMED CONSENT

We are Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Grade 11 students from Our
Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) and we are conducting a research study entitled “Living with the
Dead”: A Phenomenological Disquisition about the Experiences of People living in a Cemetery.
Individual who live in a cemetery for 30 years. Since you lived in a cemetery and you are qualified in this
study. We would like to invite you to join this research study.

The purpose of the study is to explore the experiences, and struggles of an individual living with
dead, and how did they cope up living in that kind of place for a decade without a proper support from the
government.

This research will require 30 minutes to 1 hour of your time. During this time you will be
interviewed about your experiences living in a cemetery. The interview will be conducted wherever you
prefer (e.g in your preferred place/home), and the whole interview will be taped recorded.

There is no risk involved in this study except your valuable time. But it can benefit you. Also, the
results of the study may help you understand, realize, and have knowledge about the effect of individual
who lived in a cemetery. And it will also inform the government about your experiences living in that
kind of place that will help you to have your own proper place to live.

Your participation in this research is completely voluntary. You may also pull out any time from
the study for any reason. You may also decline to answer some or all of the question if you do not feel
comfortable with the questions.

We the researchers will promise that the information provided by you will remain confidential.
Nobody except the researchers will have an access to it. Your name and also your identity will also not be
reveal at any time. However the data may be seen by Ethical review committee and may be published in
journal and elsewhere without giving your name or disclosing your identity.
