The wide of cultivation area is decreasing

One of the areas of critical concern world-wide is how to fulfill the food demands for a
growing world population while farmland acres continue to shrink. People should think about how
much food that people eat in the big human population, and also think about how much food is
needed to feed all of those people. This causes the wide of cultivation is decreasing. Two of the most
major problems in agriculture are the loss of agricultural land because of human needs for shelter and
the loss of people who interest to work in agriculture field.
One of the major problems facing agriculture is the population increase. As more population
increase, the need for shelter will also increase. This is what causes the shift in the conversion of
agricultural land into residential land. Moreover, the land used is fertile green land for farming. It will
become tougher to provide the quantity of food required to produce the amount of food needed to feed
the growing human population. If people find it difficult to produce the food, it will make scarce the
food that people need and people may find the rise of price on agricultural product. Four million
hectares area of agricultural land is lost annually, that because of many agricultural lands is used for
highways, housing, factories, and other urban needs. This should be a concern of the public and the
government, because the impact that arises concerns the common welfare.
The trends within the loss of agricultural lands don not look promising for the longer term of
agriculture. Nowadays agriculture is getting worse and worse, many people who underestimate the
moral value as a farmer. Many people think that agriculture is old-fashioned which only for old
people and using non-sophisticated technology. Therefore, people interest in becoming involved in the
world of agriculture is diminishing. People should know that agriculture is the most important sector
in life, without agriculture humans cannot eat. With the reduced interest of the community to work in
the agricultural sector, agricultural land has turned into industrial land where most people choose to
work in that sector. In industrial sector some people work as factory workers, managers, and laborer.
So we can conclude that the transition of land is caused by an increase in the number of people
and a reduced interest in the community to work in agriculture. If there is a lack of land, the impact
that will occur is scarcity so that the price of agricultural commodities will become expensive. Most
of human needs are from agriculture product. People should open their mind to realize that agriculture
is the most important thing in life. Not only using but they must know how to protect and make it 1
of human needs are from agriculture product. People should open their mind to realize that agriculture
is the most important thing in life. Not only using but they must know how to protect and make it
better. For the government, they must properly socialize human needs in the agricultural sector so that
people's knowledge about agriculture will increase. The government must also be strict in making
policies to protect agricultural green lands so that they are not used for other sectors. The government
must also appreciate the current farmers, because without them daily necessities such as eating and
other clothing needs cannot be fulfilled. Therefore, farmers should get the proper welfare for their
services.
