DR. HAFIZ IKRAM-UL-HAQ presently working as Secretary, Council of Islamic

Ideology did his Graduation from University of Punjab, Lahore, Master (Islamic Studies) from
University of Punjab, Master in Arabic from International Islamic University and Ph.D. in Arabic
Literature (2003) from University of Punjab. In addition to that Dr. Ikram-ul-Haq has done Adeeb-
e-Arabic and Fazil-e-Arabic.
He did 103rd National Management Course from National School of Public Policy, Lahore.
He did a course about Judicial System of Egypt, Cairo, Egypt and a course of Judicial System of
Sudan, Khartoum, Sudan and a course of Master Trainers in Human Rights, Islamabad.
Dr. Ikram knows Arabic, English, Urdu and Punjabi languages. He has visited several
foreign countries i.e. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Egypt, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, China
and Qatar.
He has participated in about 10 National and International conferences, published more than
20 research articles in reputed journals, translated five books from Arabic, English and Urdu and he
is author of four books.
Presently he is holding the post of Secretary (BPS-21), Council of Islamic Ideology,
Islamabad and previously he had worked as Researcher at Juma al Majid Center for Culture &
Heritage Dubai, Lecturer at Higher Education, Govt. of Punjab and Assistant Professor, Shariah
Academy International Islamic University, Islamabad and Chairman Department of Research &
Publication, Shariah Academy International Islamic University and Coordinator of Shariah Courses
for Judges, Attorneys, Prosecutors & Law Officers, Coordinator Shariah Orientation Courses for
Lawyers, Liaison Officer for the Judges Course in their study tour abroad.
As far as Dr. Ikram's teaching experience and training he has been a resource person of
Shariah training courses for judicial and extra judicial officers and lawyers. He has taught Tafseer,
Hadith, Fiqh and Arabic language/literature and Islamic law. He has also been Chairman of various
committees regarding education, research and administration. He has also been resource person for
the courses of Da'wah Academy, Islamabad, Iqbal International Institute for Research and
Dialogue, Islamabad and Resource person for Translation Department of International Islamic
University. He has delivered lectures and evaluated/conducted viva-voce examination for M. Phil
and Ph.D. students of various universities. He has been a resource person of MCMC, SMC and
other professional courses.

Winner of Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation and International Understanding for the
year 2017 awarded the Government of Qatar.
