I wanted to have some cool iconography in my poster, I wanted it to be eye catching, I chose

2 bold main colours for the 2 different clans within the game.

For the shield I made the blue and red look like fire, I used the smudge tool to create the
effect.

There isn’t much enigma in this image and I kind of forgot to add it but if I did it might’ve
looked too busy.

I managed to find a font that looked kind of cartoony but had a swoosh type of effect to it to
make the arrow look like it’s zooming pass. Also adding the shadow on the arrow makes it
feel realistic.

The connotations are the arrow, shield and sword. You can clearly tell it’s about war
because you mostly see those things in a war or battle.

It was difficult finding a sword that kind of looked cartoony to fit the style of the overall game.

I did make a lot of changes with my poster. The iconography didn’t fit with the cartoony style,
it was too decayed and made it look like an RPG than a building, protecting, battle game.

The narrative is the war aspect, with the swords, ETC.

The layout was difficult for me to figure out how I wanted it to look. I found out from other
posters that I looked at, Borderlands 3, ETC. that the text is always in the middle, it draws
attention to it and then the background afterwards.
