MASTER STANDING ORDER

I VESSEL ON PASSAGE

a) Look out to be properly maintained at all times


b) Navigation equipment to be regulars checked: Auto pilot/ Steering/ Correct course/ Compass/ Gyro error
navigation light & etc
c) Proper record to be kept on logbook
d) Fixed position to be put on chart at regular interval
e) Rules of the road to be “ STRICTLY FOLLOWED AND ACTION AVOIDING COLLISION TO BE
CLEARLY TAKEN EARLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULES “

II IN CASE OF RESTRICTTED VISIBILITY


a) Inform the Master
b) Post look out and helmsman and in congested water revert to hand steering immediately
c) Exhibit navigation light
d) Operate and use radar or any navigational equipment

III CALL THE MASTER

a) If restricted visibility is encored or suspected


b) If the traffics condition or the movements of other vessel are causing concern
c) If difficulty is experienced in maintaining course
d) On failure to sight land or a navigation mark in expected time
e) If land or navigation is sighted unexpected
f) On breakdown of engines/ steering gear or any essential navigational equipment
g) On board weather if any doubt the possibility of causing damages
h) If any emergency or situation in which you are in doubt

IV VESSEL ON OILFIELD OPERATIONS.


OFFICER ON DUTY OR WATCHMAN TO BE ALL TIMES ON THE BRISGE.

a) Keeping a permanent watch while vessel tied up on platform/ structures/ working during unloading/ back
loading of cargo/ bunkering fuel oil/ water and etc and also keep watch on field radio frequencies and
emergency
b) Radio and security watch should be maintained and keep record on weather condition (wind / swell)
c) Watching and checking mooring wires and lines frequently at safe distance from jacket leg or structure
d) No ship allowed coming along side without Master approval or duty officer
e) Day and night signals are displayed at all times in accordance with work performed and regulations
f) Never leave the bridge more than fifteen minutes and bring along a walkie talkie radio when going for deck
inspection or etc

V CALLS THE MASTER

a) If wind is increasing/ gusting above 20 knots


b) If anchor dragging / wire or mooring rope parted or ship moving from initial position
c) In events emergency situation “ GENERAL ALARM PLATFORM “ or in case of any doubt.

ANY ACCIDENT OR INCIDENT ON BOARD OR IN THE VICINITY MUST BE NOTIFIED AND


REPORTED IMMEDIATELY TO THE MASTER
