I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. identify the different uses of each sewing machines
2. differentiate the different types of sewing machine according to its function
3. help each other on group activity

Describe the Pic!
A picture of different kinds of machine was placed under the 6 tables. Students will find for the picture
and brainstorm by group about the picture they found. One representative will describe the picture by
using descriptive words (adjective). They will also tell the use of the machine on the picture.
C. Presentation
SEWING MACHINE
A textile machine used to stitch fabric, cards and other material with thread. Well-selected sewing
machine is essential for achieving good results. It should be used correctly in accordance with the
job requirements.
4) EMBROIDERY MACHINE
▪ This is used in making fancy stitches and in making different kinds of
embroidery stitches on fabrics for Barong Tagalog, pillow cases, linen,
and other novelty items.

1. What have you observed in the pictures?
2. What convenience does it give to our work?
b. Abstraction
1. How does the different kinds of machine differ from each other?
2. How do these kinds of sewing help the sewing industry nowadays?
c. Application
The class will be grouped into eight. Each group will be given pieces of puzzle that they have to form.
Then they will find on the board the name of the machine and its corresponding function.
IV. Assessment:
Identification: Identify what kind of machine is being described. Choose from the options. Write
the letter only.
