It was an honor to have Kim Whitmore as a community-based student in my


Education 535 Social Studies Specialization II and Education 456 Assessment classes
at the Werklund School of Education, University of Calgary.

Kim approached all classes and tasks with great dedication. She excelled at creating
learner-centered activities and assessments for students. Her evidence of learning in each
task demonstrated self-reflection and detail. Kim promotes diversity, ensures inclusion, and
provides differentiated learning and teaching activities. She strives to develop positive
dispositions in her relationships with others, particularly with her students.

Kim has high expectations for herself and others. The majority of the learning tasks in the
community-based program requires students to be highly collaborative and team-oriented.
Kim was an exceptional team leader and raised expectations for all learners in her groups.
She seeks and diligently applies feedback.

Kim Whitmore will be a valuable teacher with your school board. Educational
stakeholders will be impressed with her passion for excellence in teaching and learning.
