Answer the following questions in 150 words or more.

1. Can you list three most common available information in a CDR and give some
example for each?

Clinical Data Repositories are the systematically structured and gathered “storehouse” of patient-
specific data, which usually mirrored from a clinical application, or supplemented with data from
other clinical systems. The Clinical Data Repository have the common kinds of available
information that helps them on maintaining their view on the patient’s medical record that can
assist them in improving patient’s experience, and having information about prior test results and
procedures that leads to more informed patient care decision and helps avoid redundant
treatment. 1. Patient Demographics, Patient emographic information examples include: age, race,
ethnicity, gender, marital status and all other vital information about the patient. 2. Laboratory
Results, examples include: Complete Blood Count, Urinalysis, and all of the other laboratory test
that requires a result. 3. Medication List, should list any allergies you have, prior adverse reactions
and most importantly, include any current medications, with dosage and frequency, that you are
taking.

2. How would you explain the importance of the graphical representation feature of a
CDR in helping the physician carry out their task more effectively?

The graphical representation features the most clinical data repositories and enables the
scenario analysis which primarily helps physician different kinds of filters in order to
change the level of information that may be seen. The common filters include the age and
gender. This type of representation helps the physician to acquire a straightforward and
real information or data with will efficiently and effectively facilitate the performance of
their tasks.
