Study and Simulation of Filmwise and Dropwise Condensation

AIM: -
Have a visual observation of filmwise and dropwise condensation, as well as nucleate boiling.
Objectives: -
 Demonstrate the filmwise and dropwise Condensation.
 Determine the filmwise heat flux and surface heat
transfer coefficient at constant pressure.
 Determine the dropwise heat flux and surface heat
transfer coefficient at constant pressure.
 Investigate what effect the presence of air in the
condenser has on heat flux and surface heat transfer
coefficient.
 Investigate the difference in heat flux between the two
forms of condensation for the same set of conditions.
Uses: -
This study would be used in any industry which is trying to Submitted By: -
increase the efficiency of heat transfer. An example of this
