ORGANIZATION’S INFORMATION
Background Information
Indonesia is a rich country with an abundance of human resources. One of the most important
elements regarding human resources in Indonesia is its youth, who will accept the responsibility to
develop the country in the future. In this era of globalization, an era of competition and fast growth,
the next generation has an obligation to dedicate their talents and knowledge to the country’s
development. However, the lack of development in infrastructure and educational facilities often
prevent young generations in Indonesia from achieving their maximum potential, inherently speaking
on the potential city of Yogyakarta.
A stigma is often set that the less fortunate shouldn’t be taught with the aid of technology, why is that?
Through this we question whether technology would in fact enlighten a reformation of how education
is foreseen today. Statistics show that more than 65% of Indonesia’s total population has in fact
gained competent internet access. What is stopping our breakthrough, is one long gone perception
that change for all is still impossible to have.
By teaching educational skills specifically through an Experiential Learning Technology Program, this
year we aim to let students experience the importance of initiative in learning, as a way for Indonesians
in less developed areas to achieve their right for quality education through the medium of technology.
From this, they will also receive the chance to reach their goals and participate in the development of
their homeland.

Vision
Our vision is to broaden the insights of Indonesian children who reside in the remote areas of Indonesia
through improving education by technology.
Mission
Sayap Ilmu is a student-led organization. We aim to awaken the potentials of young students in
Yogyakarta by initiating different mediums as a way to open opportunities for education specifically
through the distribution and discipline of technology.
Our plan is to supply SD Sanjaya Tritis with 20 smart tablets with an accompanied tech-lab that allows
students to individually engage with the beneficial uses of technology in a more personal manner. With
this year's program, students will be taught the general communication, writing, language, and
analytical thinking skills through the applications we plan to make use of. By teaching them the
fundamentals of communication and literacy skills, students are given an opportunity to dive deeper
into the learning process, cultivating their own desire to seek knowledge.
The system of applications we plan to use in accordance with the smart tablets include:
Collaboration with Ruang Guru:
Sayap Ilmu will be partnering with International education brand Ruang Guru to ensure that our
application system and programs are as efficient and suited to our students’ learning. Using Ruang
Guru’s interactive class program, it will allow our program to be enacted in a more effective and
synergistic manner by the long run.
3. Youtube Kids - The app provides a service oriented towards children, with curated selections
of content for a fun and educational alternative learning source.
4. Duolingo - A platform that provides a service that can help people to learn a new language.
Math Based Applications:
1. Dragonbox
2. Quick Maths: This app sharpens students’ arithmetic skills in terms of speed and accuracy.
3. 2048: Students will learn strategies and critical thinking skills as they try to reach the 2048 tiles
before running out of space in the area they are given.
4. Sudoku: A simple but famous math-based puzzle that teaches students how to make
educated assumptions and think critically.
Creativity Based Applications:
1. Autodesk SketchBook: An app that allows students to draw and sketch their ideas.
2. Scratch: This platform enables students to learn how to program games and animations using
simple drag-and-drop programming.

Sayap Ilmu receives funding only from donations given by private sectors, non-government
organizations, and inter-organizational partnerships. The following can be done via:

A company can arrange to give a corporate gift to Sayap Ilmu and we will gladly
discuss and report back on the impact of the contributions that you have given.
SPONSOR PACKAGE
You can support our mission trip in 2020 through: smart tablets, financial support, book donations,
and other resources such as notebooks and stationery. For Hope-Platinum, Purpose-Gold and
Perseverance-Silver sponsors, the size of the logo that will be displayed in the banner of our mission
trip will be in relation to the size of donation that you have so kindly gave. (ex: hope sponsors will
have the biggest promotional space on our banner, second will be purpose and last will be
perseverance.
SPONSOR BENEFITS
Logo Exposure
At appropriate times such as the existence of a club fair in our high school, Sayap Ilmu will design
various merchandise such as: T-shirts, stickers, and pins. The sponsor’s logo will be displayed on
the merchandise that will be used on the event itself. Product endorsement can also be displayed at
events to be held. Sponsor’s logo will also be featured in our website at the Sponsor’s page. Size of
the logo will be adjusted to the level of your sponsorship.
Media Coverage
Sponsor’s company logo and a description of your support will be displayed in a variety of our
publications, be it Instagram photos, e-newsletter articles, brochures, and more.
Plaque of Appreciation
After the mission trip in 2020 takes place, we will create a plaque of appreciation to the sponsors
who have supported us.
