TRC CHECK LIST V2

Project:_______________ Unit: _____________ System Location : ____________ Date:

Type of Rx ___________ Sl no _______________.
Type of DF Antenna _______ Sl.no .______________

Sl. Nature of Check / Details of the Checking Remarks

no Module
1 PPM Module Check whether LG211 is getting connected Yes / No
(LG211
connection to Rx) If No, check for following

 Check voltage 24VDC to the receiver

 Check IP address
 Check LAN cable
 Check ping for 22.250.11.2

2 LG211 If LG211 appears slow, check for “virus” on the

performance computer. Run “Antivirus” and “reinstall LG211 if
required”.
Disable AntiVirus after scan, to release the
resources for LG211

If still Slow, Note the conditions under which

LG211 is responding slow.
3 LG211 Automatic If LG211 gets closed automatically, capture the
closing log file as per the annexure-A
3 BITE check Check for GREEN status for all the modules Yes / No

4 LO module If LO module status is shown RED, check for the

following

 Note the failure indication is appearing

immediately after power ‘ON or after some time
 Is spectrum visible (Y/N) _______ If yes…
 Check For drift for any active frequency present in
the spectrum :
o 20 – 500 MHz
o 500-1250MHz
o 1250MHz to 2000MHz
o 2000MHz to 3000MHz

5 Acquisition  If noise floor level is increasing while working

module i.e. average noise floor from -100 dBm to -60dBm
increasing with time.
(indicative of ACQUISITION MODULE FAULTY)
To modify the following

SNo Receiver Fault status in Additional Checks Remarks

Model No BITE
1 TRC6200DVU If LG211 not connecting but ping OK with IP
SNo.: address of PC 22.250.11.10
2 TRC6200IVU  Check IP address of PC 22.250.11.10
SNo.:  Check for LED indications of PPM module
whether they are stable or flickering.
 Check the temperature of board through
telnet command, “sensors”.
Temperature should not be more than
72C.
 Update software in flash through telnet
command.
 Create log file if required.

If only one of the RF Module showing faulty in

DVUReceiver
Check the spectrum display and monitoring
functions are working or not.
Check the Manual channel mode as given in
antenna checking and note the dipoles showing
very low amplitudes.
 If only RF Module showing faulty in IVU Receiver
Open the front panel and check the IF cables
 from RF module to Switching Module
 From Switching Module to Acquisition
Module
3 TRC2966X / Physical   Create Manual Channel by clicking hand symbol in
TRC206X Damages(if any): intercept results window
antenna  Enter the active frequency in the popup window
 Select the active manual channel track in the
intercept results window
 Click on Calibration in the menu bar
 Select the maintenance in the drop down list.
 Observe and note the amplitudes appeared under
each element 1,2,3,4,5. (Note: the amplitudes
variation should be within 6dB max)
 Note the quality

Note:
1) Check for physical damages of the coaxial
contacts in the circular connector (i.e. on Receiver
and on cable end) for any amplitude differences.
2) In case of TRC206X, ensure the receiver is
belongs to SUJAV or LIC projects only. To confirm
verify the voltage at antenna dipoles. (8.3V
passive mode 12V Active mode)
 To check whether a particular dipole is faulty or
switching module is faulty (in maintenance
mode).
If any one of the dipole is not reporting proper
signal level:
Example: Dipole 3 is not reporting proper signal
level
Probable Case 1: Dipole is faulty.
Probable Case 2: Switching module is
faulty.

Trouble shooting procedure:

i. Check the level again for a different frequency
falling in the same sub-band.
ii. Check the connector physical condition on the
front panel.
iii. Check the cable physical condition.
iv. Check the dipole mechanical/ physical
condition.
v. Swap the dipole position by changing cables at
the antenna.
vi. If after swapping of the antenna dipole, the level
drop is exchanged then the particular dipole is
faulty.
vii. If after swapping of the antenna dipole, the level
drop remains same for the same number dipole
then the switching module is faulty for that
particular sub-band.
