Part 2: Reflection
The goals outlined in my schools Integrated Action plan are: with an effective system in place, LBA will increase member
input with three surveys a year and reach 75% participation of school and community member, one teacher from each grade level band
(K-1) (2-3) (4-5) (6-8) will meet bi-weekly with administration, outside of instructional time, to provide input on campus happenings
and communicate information back to grade level teams and stakeholders, and Las Brisas Academy will have a systematic way to
evaluate the effectiveness of instruction campus-wide. These goals are very specific and, on the surface, hard to fund. The budget line
items I selected -work as action steps to achieving those goals listed on the IAP.
For goal #1, these line items provide community outreach opportunities to increase member and community participation in
school events and survey results. By hosting these events and opening the campus intentionally we can receive feedback more
frequently and use that feedback to enhance the school setting. Goal #2 is met in using the leadership team and their time together to
produce relevant and usable professional development that will better meet the needs of all teachers, there for being more impactful to
student outcomes.
for teachers to spend les time looking for the best resources and more time teaching effectively. Increasing teacher retention and
improving placement based on skills will allow for more effective teaching and better instruction as it allows teacher to grow in their
content and professional knowledge without starting over each year. In meeting the vision, I feel it is important for our performing arts
academy to have a professional production that will serve in proving memorable learning experiences aligned with school academic
goals as well.
It is the principal’s responsibility to align the budget to the mission, vision, and integrated action plan because as with all other
school functions, the principal is primary in establishing the cause, identifying the process, leading the plan following specific steps
