INTRODUCTION:
The project entitled Automated Car Parking system is to manage

the car parking bay. This software help the company to track all the

cars, car location, car in and car out details, apart from this it also help

in accounting. Using this software we can track total amount collected

for each day.

PROJECT:

Automated Car Parking system is a software application

software to track car bay vacant positions in the multistoried

buildings. Software have the provision to collect all the details of each

car came to parking, in time, out time, amount etc.,

OBJECTIVE:

There are several advantages of employing a car park system for

urban planners, business owners and vehicle drivers. They offer

convenience for vehicle users and efficient usage of space for urban-

based companies. Automated car park systems save time, money,

space and simplify the often tedious task of parking.

3
SCOPE:

Automatic multistoried car parking system helps to minimize the

car parking area. In the modern world, where parking-space has

become a very big problem, it has become very important to avoid the

wastage of space in modern big companies and apartments etc. In

places where more than 100 cars need to be parked, this system

proves to be useful in reducing wastage of space. This Automatic Car

Parking System enables the parking of vehicles, floor after floor and

thus reducing the space used.

4
EXISTING SYSTEM:

The existing system work manually. The existing system has got lot
of intricacies within itself and need lot of human effort and paper
works. All above the data need to be maintained on ledgers and
maintaining this is a tedious and risky process. As the transactions
increases, so the data too. So the task of maintaining them increases
exponentially. To view a data may need lot of paper to be searched.

Some of the negative aspects of the existing system are as follows:

1) Time Consuming:
There is a lot of time consumes in the park, whenever we
park manually than because of many customers with his/ her
different purpose, than we wait for our turn sometimes 30-40
min.

2) Reliability:
This parking system is not fully reliable whenever the
computer system is create a problem and not work properly than
sometime our data is damaged or lost.

5
3) Man Power:
4) Less Accurate:
this system is not fully accurate, because sometime computrised
system create a problem in working, than the computer system also
give us wrong results.

To overcome these, the proposed system has been suggested.

6
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
Automated Car Parking is a mechanical, electrical, software system used to park car

without assistance of a human being. AutoMotion Parking Systems introduces the first

fully automated parking garage system in New York City providing the easiest, fastest

and safest way to park available, while doubling the number of parking spaces

compared to conventional parking. In this system, driver enters through garage door,

parks the vehicle on a pallet inside an “entry and exit room”. He swipes his RF smart

card and walks away. The car automatically parked by the system.

Need for system development:

In conventional car parking system driver has to park car at available place. It is

difficult for a human to constantly examine the eternal flow of vehicles to the parking

space. In conventional car parking system anyone, anything can touch the car so

scratches, dings problems can occur. Due to this less security because of the

possibility of accusation of stolen personal items in the car. So there is need to

develop Automated Car Parking System. Park, swipe and leave-three simple steps are

in Automated Car Parking System. Integrating the latest in laser and computer

technology with conventional elevator components parking offers a solution that

eliminates most of the hassle of conventional parking.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Functional Requirements
• Non- Functional Requirements
• System Requirments

Functional requirements:

 User basic graphical tools such as

shapes,objects,brushes,colourtools,eraseretc

 Should allow free hand drawing, object shapes such as

circle,ellipse,rectangle,polygon.

 Should allow the usage of different colors in the form of

brushes,shapes,curves.

 Manage the picture with tools such as pencil, airbrush, clear

all.

Non-Functional requirements:

 Must provide the program in vivid colours and format.

 Should have adaptability to allow usage of single module at a
time.
 Must enable faster processing of operations when a module is
selected.

8
System Requirments:

Hardware requirements:

Processor: Dual Core

RAM: 2ghz required

HARD DISK: 500GB required

Printer: Any compatible printer

Software requirements:

JDK 1.5

MYSQL

JAVA being the platform independent language to generate the user-

friendly Software system is used as Front-end system and MYSQL as
Back-end database system, this will facilitate user in operating the
system successfully.

A platform is the hardware or software environment in which a

program runs. We've already mentioned some of the most popular
platforms like Windows 2000/XP, Linux, Solaris, and Mac OS. Most
platforms can be described as a combination of the operating system
and hardware. The Java platform differs from most other platforms in

9
that it's a software-only platform that runs on top of other hardware-
based platforms.

The Java platform has two components:

• The Java Virtual Machine (Java VM)

• The Java Application Programming Interface (Java API)

MODULES IN SYSTEM:

There are seven modules in this System::

1). Login Module
2). Register Module
3). Transaction Module
4). Create File Module
5). Open Account Module
6). Search Module
7). Report Module

• Create File:
Selecting this creates a new file for the user by accepting input
such as account number, name and amount .
• Open account:
Opens a new account for the user by accepting
input such as account number, name and minimum balance
• Search:
Enables to search for the details of the given account number.
Displays only one account detail at a time.
• Report:
Displays the list of all account & Details comprising of
account number, name and balance amount .

SCREEN SHOTS:

14
ADVANTAGES OF SYSTEM:

• Proposed system enables Parking to find out the particular

Account.
• This system also helps to know about the deposit and withdraw
amount for particular person.
• This system have feature to search customer record by two
option one is acc_number and second is by customer name and
also feature to update, delete account.
• In this system we also store employee record and search,
modify, delete operations also occurs.
• Reduction of errors and viruses due to non requirement of the
internet.
• This system have feature to see the account detail according to
date.
• Updating of data is easy in computerized system.

15
LIMITATIONS OF THE PROJECT:

• We have a limitation in this system, i.e. this system is not link

to networking.

16
FUTURE SCOPE:

In the future more software companies will hire this software

program because now a days the need for the speed in the day-to-day
life has becomeessential. As competition increases, companies by
considering old version, they develop more efficient versions for
individual success.

In future we can make a link of this project with networking. We can

also convert this project in Hibernate. Hibernate is a framework. It
storage large amount of database.

In future we can also add the facility to change the password and
recovery the forgotten password..

17
DATA DICTIONARY:

Data dictionary is the collection of complete data is used in some

process. It can also to be called the whole databases that are used in
the project. Data is stored in different data bases. Database is a
collection of different table and tables further are collection of records
in which each record is made up of primary unit called fields’ data
fields are the entity where the information can be stored and accessed
as and when required.
