Dr Robbie Lee Sabnani is a language teacher educator. Her instructional and
academic interests include speaking and listening, metacognition in learning
and teachers’ knowledge and beliefs. She has presented her research on
teacher expertise and the development of oral English competence at several
local and international conferences. She teaches a range of higher degree, pre-
service and undergraduate courses in the areas of Professional English,
Practical Pronunciation, Communication Skills and Multicultural Studies at the National Institute of
Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
