Introduction:
Bangladesh Post is a service oriented government organization working under Posts and
Telecommunications Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information
Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The Director General,
Bangladesh Post Office started functioning from 20th December 1971 after the emergence of
Bangladesh as a sovereign country. It is dedicated to deliver a wide range of basic postal service
and financial & ICT based digital postal service with its countrywide network .It is the only
government postal communication service holding together a country with large population.
Bangladesh Post is committed to ensure a speedy, reliable and affordable service to the people of
all walks of life. Bangladesh Post always focuses on bringing people’s happiness through
pragmatic & innovative ideas as well as uplifting of this department to a profitable.

(DMS), International Mail Service (IMS), Express Mail Service (EMS), Guaranteed Express
Post(GPE). Express Mail Service is an international mail service offers delivery of letters,
business documents, and samples and parcel in 43 countries around the world shorter period
of time. Location of the documents, letters etc.can be tracked over the internet. Guaranteed
Express Post (GPE) provides speedy delivery of letter and parcel within the country over the
district city and main upazillas. Information on theexpanses, rate and weight for sending letter
parcels and documents and all the details facilities mentioned above are represented in the
website.
b) Monetary Services:
It also offers information about the money order and postal order servicesfor sending money
across the country. People get information about the different types Postal Life Insurance
services, tenor, profit and other related information on this.
The website provides information about Electronic Money Transfer Service (EMTS), Postal
cash card, Nogot, speed post etc. in details. Nogot is a cellphone based money transfer
services which has been inaugurated on 26th March 2019.
2. Postal E-center: Under the plan for implementation of vision 2021,government intends
to bring coordination between internal and international postal networks, development and
expansion of all post offices in the country, providing customer-friendly products and
services, expanding postal services in low-cost areas, eliminating incompatibility between
cities and villages in the use of modern information technology for developing postal
services. For this reason government has been setting up E-center for rural community passed

in ECNAC on 24.01.2012 and at present 8500 post office has been turned to E-center in
which people enjoy facilities of computer browsing, printing, scanning, e-mail, video
conference, allowance distribution under social security. The website facilitates the
information and list of E-center available in the different areas of the country.
5. Others:
The website also provides information of honorary postal card, general postal card of different
kinds, postal museum etc. Postal website offers different form for availing postal and financial
services offered by the Post Directorate.
A post office is a public department that provides a customer service to the public and handles
their mail needs. Post offices offer mail-related services such as acceptance of letters and parcels;
provision of post office boxes; and sale of postage stamps, packaging, and stationery.
Post office officers over 170 different products and services,spanning financial services
including savings, loans,insurance,mortgages and credit cards; government services ;broadband
and home phone; foreign currency;travel insurance; local collect, drop and Go mail services and
much more.

Sometimes it get slow and hang up and ultimately unavailable for the end user.
The website does not facilitate information and address of the post offices all over the

Recommendation:
A website is also important because it helps establish credibility of a business or company. It is
the oldest and traditional department of Bangladesh. So it should get updated with uptodate
information, should designs in an attractive manner to attract general people and should make
reach with other related information.

Periodical, Book/Pack, Sample etc.The website also facilitates information about the different
investment scheme offered by Bangladesh Government such as savings scheme, sanchayapatra,
pension scheme, postal life insurance etc. People also get information about the post e-center,
EMS track, and honorary post card related to postal services etc.Information on the expanses,
rate and weight for sending letter parcels and documents and all the details facilities
mentioned above are represented in the website.It offers postal life insurance, money order,
postal order etc for general public.Post office officers over 170 different products and services

been updated though those are changed already.A website helps to attracts services of
institution by providing up to date information. The facilities that are provided by the post
offices are well enough.A website is also important because it helps establish credibility of a
