COCO LUMBER

Coco lumber is a hardwood-substitute from coconut palm trees. Coconut timber has
many applications as both a structural and interior design material. The harder, high-density
timber is suitable for general structural purposes such as pillars, trusses, rafting, furniture,
window and door frames, floors, decking and floor joists.

HARDWOOD

Hardwoods are more likely to be found in high-quality furniture, decks, flooring, and
construction that needs to last. Examples of hardwood trees include alder, balsa, beech,
hickory, mahogany, maple, oak, teak, and walnut.
PARTICLE BOARD

They are sometimes used as an alternative to plywood or medium density

fiberboard to lower down the construction cost.
BAMBOO

Bamboo is one of the most important nature’s substitute for the endangered rainforest
hardwoods. Even in the early years, bamboo had been used in many ways, not to mention the
traditional use of bamboo in the daily life of the early people especially in Asia. He also used a
bamboo as rebar for the reinforcement of his swimming pool. Similarly, Alexander Graham Bell
made use of bamboo for his first phonograph needle. To this day, an innumerable application of
bamboo can be thought of. Bamboo is useful for various applications at different ages : 3-6 years –
for construction.

SOFTWOOD

About 80% of all timber comes from softwood. Softwoods have a wide range of
applications and are found in building components (e.g., windows, doors), furniture,
medium-density fiberboard (MDF), paper, Christmas trees, and much more. Examples of
softwood trees are cedar, Douglas fir, juniper, pine, redwood, spruce, and yew.
AMAKAN WALL PANELS

The Amakan wall panelings are common materials used in small houses and some
beach resorts the Philippine suburban areas or most commonly called here as “probinsya”.

Palms are used for building and roofing materials .

ORIENTED STRAND BOARD

OSB is suitable for a variety of end uses including subflooring, single-layer flooring,
wall and roof sheathing, sheathing ceiling/deck, structural insulated panels, webs for wood I-
joists, industrial containers, mezzanine decks, and furniture.

PLYBOARD

Blockboards or Plyboards are popularly used for furniture that cover large areas
like table, doors, wardrobe shutters, shelves, for paneling as partitions, etc. Apart
from these, plyboards have a very good screw holding ability and has good
resistance to warping. Plyboard is most frequently used for overhead shutters
which is 1 inch or 25 mm thick.

Fiberboard is often used as a roofing material for a low-slope roof. Fiberboard is a

great material to be used as a backing to shingles for any kind of roof. You will also find it
being used as sheathing for walls in the home. It is durable and flexible which makes it
ideal for these uses.
