Please connect the neutral electrode cable, neutral pad, applied surgical pencil, bipolar forceps
and footswitch according to the surgery need.
2 Power up
Turn on the main generator and it will be ready after the “Beep”.
Please select the operating mode and the according power set.
You can activate the cutting mode by stepping on the yellow pad of the footswitch or pressing
the yellow handswitch on the surgery pencil;
You can activate the coagulation mode by stepping on the blue pad of the footswitch or pressing
the blue handswitch on the surgery pencil;
Only can you activate the bipolar mode by stepping on the blue pad of the footswitch.
Ⅴ. Safety Instructions
1. Patient Isolation:The rubber mattress normally is not good enough for the isolation between the
patient and the operating table. It is strongly recommended to apply a piece of dried cloth
between the rubber mattress and the patient. Meanwhile, since the dried cloth can easily get wet
during the operation, a waterproof layer shall be applied over the dried cloth.Last but not the
least, there shall be dried cloth between the limbs to prevent direct contact.
2. Heart Pacemaker: Since the electrosurgical unit can interrupt even damage the heart pacemaker,
Please consult the cardiology department before electrosurgery if the patient is equipped with a
heart pacemaker.
3.Explosion hazard: The anesthetic or disinfectant that applied to the patient and the electrosurgical
unit must be inflammable and inexplosive, and they must be vaporized or wiped out completely
before turning on the main generator. Besides, please note that the abdominal cavity and the
internal organs can also produce flammable or explosive gas.
4 Active electrodes: It is mandatory to put the electrodes in a safe place away from the patient
when they are not needed so potential accident like mistriggering can be avoided.

1 Connection of Monopole Mode
1) Connect the foot switch as Figure 6-1:

Figure 6-3
Neutral plate is the electrode of monopole suspended output of the machine. It should be used properly
on the human body to form a circle circuit with the electrosurgical pencil to cut and coagulate for
biological tissue.
The common neutral plates show as Figure 7-1/7-2, whose middle part is composed of metal foil.
2) Category
According to times of use: Disposable Neutral Plate and Reusable Neutral Plate.
According to structural use: Monopole Neutral Plate and Bipolar Neutral Plate.

3) Name
A> The neutral plate can be called neutral electrode, muscle plate or skin plate.
B> The monopole plate is short for monopole neutral plate, generally named single-piece skin plate,
C> The bipolar plate is short for bipolar neutral plate; general named double-piece skin plate, or
prominent and near the surgery area, then use the plate plywood to clamp the plate handle(as Figure 7-1)
smoothly to the body which is clean, hair-off, muscles rich, and no bones prominent and near the surgery
area, then use the plate plywood to clamp the plate handle and start the machine, the machine will work
normally.
However, if the plate has not been snapped to the patient or the patient’s skin is too dry, it will increase
impedance between the human body and the plate, then the machine will alarm.
If the plate has not been attached to the patient, the machine will also alarm, and the correct methods
When the impedance between the plate and the body reaches a certain degree because of some
reasons such as looseness or dryness, the human tissue attached to the plate will be burned to cause the
serious medical accident. However, since the bipolar plate can detect impedance between the human
body and the plate, and when using this plate the machine can also detect related information if the
impedance is too high, then it will stop working and start alarming to protect the patients.
Since the monopole plate doesn’t have the function above, the use of bipolar plate is recommended.
Statement: According to the criterion (6.8.2), if impedance between the bipolar neutral plate and the
patient is over 140Ω, the machine will work abnormally with sound and light alarm.
Warning: If not using the compatible and monitored neutral electrode, the contact quality monitoring
equipment won’t produce audible alarm when safe contact between the electrode and patient is lost.
