rate, about how far, in meters, is your house from school if you take 5 minutes to go to

Convert 2070 dm in meters
2070÷10 = 207 meters

Solution: 0.125 = 125 = 1

Length= width + 3 cm = 12 + 3 =15cm

37. Divide Php140 among Tom, Jake and Larry so that Tom gets twice as much as Jake
and Jake gets as much as Larry. How much does Tom get?
Solution: Php140 ÷ 2= Php70 for Tom
Php70 ÷ 2 =Php35 for Jake and Larry

Solution: Supplementary angles means 1800
1800 - 780 = 1020

Solution: 45÷9= 5 x Php2.50 = Php12.50

42. One base angle of an isosceles triangle is 620. What is the vertex angle?
Solution: 620 x 2 (bases) = 1240
1800 - 1240 = 560 vertex
Answer: 560 vertex
43. The perimeter of a triangle is 75cm. If two sides are 21 cm and 27 cm, how long is the
third side?
Solution: Perimeter = side + side + side
75 cm = 21cm + 27cm + side
75–21–27 = side
75 – 48 = side
27cm = third side

44. A farmer kept track of his cows and hens by counting the legs and heads. If he
counted 78 legs and 35 heads, how many cows did he have?
Solution: 35 heads means 35 animals
31 hens = 62 legs
4 cows = 16 legs

Solution: Just add all the measurements of the
sides.

= 330m

when full?
Solution: 105L = 70% full
n = 100% full
105:70 = n:100
10 500 = 70n

48. I paid Php126 for a dress at a 16% discount. What is the marked price?
Solution: 100%-16%= 84%
Php126 is 84% of n
Find the base= percentage/rate
=126/84%
=126/.84

49. In 3 months the price of pork increased from Php85.50 to Php97.50. What is the
percent increase to nearest percent?
Solution: 97.50-85.50= 12 increase
Find the rate: 12/85.50 = 0.1403508

50. Three numbers are in the ratio 3:4:6. If the middle number is 28, what is the sum of
the 3 numbers?
Solution: 3: 4: 6

28÷4=7
3x7=21; 6 x 7= 42 = 21:28:42;
