Annexure V

INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

The following instructions are to be read out to the students and also displayed on the Notice
Boards.

a. Use of Calculators .

Candidates are allowed to use battery operated non-programmable electronic calculators,


which cannot retain any previously punched-in information like formulas, etc.

b. Use of Mobile Phones, Laptop, Wrist Watches etc. »:


The candidates ,are not allowed to carry mobile phones, palmtop and laptop etc, into
examination hall.

c. Retention of Question Booklets

Candidates are allowed to retain the Question Booklets after the examination is over.

d. Nature's Call

At a time only one candidate should be allowed to take a break for going to toilets.

e. Unfair Practices

Carrying any material to the examination hall, talking to other students, copying from
others or allowing others to copy from one's paper, taking or giving any kind of assistance,

communicating with a person in or outside the examination hall would be treated as
resorting to unfair practice during the examinations. Resorting to unfair practices could
result in cancellation of registration for the course, cancellation of registration for the
subsequent term(s), striking the student's name off the rolls or any other appropriate
academic action.

f. Queries with respect to Question Paper

If the students have any query / doubt, the same should be brought to the notice of the
concerned invigilator. The students are advised to proceed with the question by making
suitable assumption(s) and the same must be written at the beginning of the concerned
answer. After the examinations are over they are required to submit a written
representation to the Chief Supervisor clearly specifying the problem with the question
paper.
