PART 4 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT
Section 4.3 General Technical Requirements
Sub-Section 4.3.14 Seismic Requirements

4.3.14 SEISMIC REQUIREMENTS

4.3.14.1 SCOPE

The design of all equipment and systems shall be such that there is no
loss of function and that safe conditions will prevail during and after a
seismic disturbance. "No loss of function" means that the integrity of the
system is maintained such that after the seismic disturbance the
equipment and system can be returned to service without repair or
modification. The seismic forces considered in the design shall not be
less than the minimum seismic forces for structures and equipment
according to “Pedoman Perencanaan Ketahanan Gempa untuk Struktur
Bangunan Gedung”, 2010 (SNI-1726-2010) for Seismic with peak ground
acceleration value 0.45g, with an importance factor of 1.50.

4.3.14.2 CODES AND STANDARDS

The Bidder shall comply with the requirements of Part 4, Sub-Section

4.3.5 "Codes and Standards".

The Codes and Standards of the following organizations extracted from

the Part 4, Sub-Section 4.3.5 “Codes and Standards” are specifically
applicable to the design manufacture and testing of the work included in
this Specification :

SNI-1726-2010 “Pedoman Perencanaan Ketahanan Gempa untuk

Struktur Bangunan Gedung” - 2012.

4.3.14.3 BUILDING AND STRUCTURES HIGHER THAN 40 M

For building and structures whose height exceeds 40 m or of irregular

shape the seismic design forces for all levels in the structure shall be
determined from a dynamic analysis based on established principles of
structural dynamics, which is a mandatory requirement of the latest
Indonesia's Regulations and Codes as published by Ministry of Public
Works, title "Pedoman Perencanaan Ketahanan Gempa untuk Struktur
Bangunan Gedung – 2010 (Regulation for designing Building for
Earthquake Resistance) and "Pedoman Perencanaan Pembebanan
untuk Rumah dan Gedung - 1987"”(Indonesia's Loading Code) .

The resulting base shear shall not be less than which would be obtained
using the static analysis approach.
