The unemployment rate in Kern County was 6.4 percent in November 2019, up from a revised 6.1 percent
in October 2019, and below the year-ago estimate of 6.5 percent. This compares with an unadjusted
unemployment rate of 3.7 percent for California and 3.3 percent for the nation during the same period.
