points, 2 problems from the equations of a line, and 2 problems from a graph of a line in the
coordinate plane. Of the seven slope problems, three of the slopes are negative, 2 of the slopes
are positive, 1of the slopes is zero, and 1 of the slopes in undefined.

What student products and performances will provide evidence of desired understandings?

The product that students will create is a
paper ladder. The ladder has 8 rungs,
including a starting rung and an ending
rung. With the exception of the ending rung,
each rung of the ladder contains the slope
problem and its accompanying calculations.
Students will cut out their ladders with
scissors and either glue or tape their rungs
together in a specific order. Each should
answer line up with the previous solution
for slope. This additional step of ordering
the rungs of the ladder with the previous By
