Synopsis

This book tells of two women who were brought together in an unusual way. Aeryn and Flo, that is the
name of the two main characters in this book. Aeryn is a woman who is almost perfect. She is described
as beautiful, smart, popular, and also a basketball player at her school. While Flo is the opposite, petite,
looks strange and far from smart. Aeryn is more often rude and rude, while Flo is a sweet child.

Three months after Aeryn's mother died, her father remarried and brought her new family into their
home. Hera and her son Flo, are Aeryn's new family who from the beginning he refused outright
presence. Aeryn considers, nothing can replace the figure of his mother. No matter how delicious the
food made by Auntie Hera, or as delicious as any cakes by Flo, Aeryn did not like it and always refused
the existence of the two of them in her house.

The story becomes interesting when Flo introduces the figures of Theo and Genta, two of his male
friends from his old school. Not just a close friend, but really a figure of friends who are always there for
him whenever he needs. Everything is so full of unicorns and rainbows, that's how Flo lives with her two
best friends. Or at least, that's what he imagined. Since he moved schools, his two best friends rarely see
him.

Especially Genta. The figure of the young man he loved began to change and keep a distance from Flo.
The atmosphere is increasingly murky when Flo is considered as a problem for Genta who is now a child
of the accelerated class and has ambitions to qualify for the Ivy League campuses. Long story short,
Genta confirmed to Flo that they were friends and always will be. For Genta, that's the best for him and
Flo right now.

unfortunately, Flo is brokenheart. To him Genta was clearly more than a friend, especially what had
happened between the two of them. Indeed, it is not clearly described every step of their relationship in
the book. There is only one story that explains how the two of them made a mistake and brought them
into new problems.

The problem arises - the real problem in my opinion, one of the most classic but also taboo to discuss -
once they both really decide - more like Genta who makes unilateral decisions - to be friends.

Flo is pregnant.

Plus, Flo went to the same school as Aeryn which incidentally was a favorite school with a learning
system that was many times more difficult than Flo's school. And as we have guessed, surely, Aeryn did
not consider the existence of her step sister at all at school. For him, Flo's business is not his business.
Inversely related to Aeryn, Flo tried to attract the attention of his stepbrother. For him to have a warm
family, being able to gather together at breakfast and dinner, and his stepbrother was the second
chance he could have. As a result of his past with his biological father, who doesn't even deserve to be
called Dad, Flo never believed that he could get all this.

Strength :

First, HOPE has a minimalist cover design and is characterized by predominantly white and light blue
with words that are thread-like. Even you have to look at the bookmarks in the form of tiny knitting
socks!

Second, the title of the book is miraculously enticing and makes me wonder. Third, of course, because I
agree with the tagline written on the cover.

Weakness :

the characters contained in this book tell too much about the character flo. while other characters like
Aeryn don't explain much how the character is.
