When we talk about this city, we talk about pizza


of course. But there are so many more things to
do in Naples. Most people stay here just one
day, others stay a little bit longer. We suggest
spending at least 2 days here to get the most out
of it. Naples in an incredible city. It’s chaotic, it’s
artistic, it’s warm and friendly. It’s definitely worth
a visit!

The city is the third largest one in Italy and it was


the capital of the Kingdom of Naples and the
Two Sicilies until the unification of the country.
You can still see the long-lasting heritage of its
power.

Naples in one day

If you’re in a rush and you have just one day to


spend here, this is the itinerary for you. You’ll
start your day in Via dei Tribunali, the home of
the local street food. Walk around and enjoy the
vibes of the city. Stop along the way for a tour of
the underground Naples. The tour takes usually
1 or 2 hours. You’ll discover an original ancient
Greek and Roman aqueduct. Proceed to Museo
Cappella Sansevero to take a look at one of the
most stunning statues in the entire World: Veiled
Christ (Cristo Velato in Italian). Take the metro
at Dante metro stop and take off at Toledo. This
is the most beautiful metro station in Naples,
where they paid special attention to making the
environment beautiful with art pieces.

Once in Toledo, you can choose to walk on the


main road to do some shopping. Or, you can
explore the Spanish Quarters (Quartieri
Spagnoli in Italian). This neighborhood is an
extremely lively one. You can find amazing food
stalls, typical trattorie, and beautiful churches.

Walk towards Piazza del Plebiscito and


challenge yourself to cross the square
blindfolded. It’s impossible, you will see!

End your day visiting the two main castles: the


Royal Palace and Maschio Angioino. If you
have time constraints, just visit them from the
outside and enjoy the sunset on the Lungomare.

Naples in two days


We suggest spending at least two days in this
incredible city. In fact, there are so many things
to do in Naples that one day could be a little bit
of a rush. During the first day, follow the itinerary
above. You can take it slower and visit the Royal
Palace and Maschio Angioino on the morning of
your second day.

If you’re an art lover, then you should definitely


go to the Archeological Museum. Here you can
also find a secret gallery with erotic art coming
from Pompei and Ercolano.

If you prefer to walk around, instead, go to


Spaccanapoli and explore another lively district
of Naples. In this neighborhood, there are also
two famous churches you can visit: Gesù Nuovo
and San Domenico Maggiore. Finish your walk
to Certosa, where you can enjoy the panorama
from the top.
