Every Child is Special

The story is about a boy name Ishaan who was suffering from dyslexia. He is filled with
joy and imagination. But he was a slow learner and poor in academics. He finds hard to read
and cope up with his lessons in school. As he started reading, the letters are moving or dancing.
He has also difficulty in writing correctly and sometimes the letters and number are inverted. His
parents and teachers thought that he is a lazy and doesn’t want to study. Because of his
behavior in school, his parents decided to transfer him in a boarding school. Ishaan was
depressed knowing that his family sent him to a new school. Some of his teachers in his new
school scolded him and embarrassed him every time he was mistaken and can’t understand
easily. And also his classmates often make fun of him. This makes him more depressed. Here
comes a new teacher who found out the condition of Ishaan. He discovered that Ishaan
mistakes are because that he has dyslexia. He decided to help the kid. While he observing
Ishaan, he noticed Ishaan’s talent. The teacher informed Ishaan’s family and told them that the
kid has a problem and explained to them why he is different. Through with his care and
patience to Ishaan, he successfully improve the life of a kid, even Ishaan parents believe that
there is any hope for their child.

This movie is a very touching story and gives us inspiration. They give true message that
the world is comparative. It gives us lessons that we will not judge immediately, we must respect
and be fair to each individual especially to a child on how we give attention. We will not compare
them from one another because each individual has a unique needs and differences. I cannot
hold my tears rolling down while watching because it reminds me with my nephew. He is not
suffering from dyslexia but he was a slow learner and sometimes he was compared with his
brother. Sometimes he felt and think that his family doesn’t love him. The movie also gives us
realization that despite of how slow and different an individual, we will not show to them the
discouragement instead let us encourage them to motivate in their studies.

If I were a student, I will not be ashamed to ask help & guidance from my parents if I
have a problem. As a parent, I always give attention and fair to my children. I will not compare
them from each other. I have to support and encourage them to stand if they failed in everything
they do. I will give parental care, more attention and love because this is very important for the
children. As a future teacher, I should look into child’s behavior and their potentials as learner so
that I know what motivates a child and what does not. I will not let them feel or show to them
what their weaknesses instead I will encourage their strengths.
