Salesforce.org has a solution for nonprofits
with Non Profit Success Pack (NPSP).
NPSP is a series of managed packages installed on top
of Salesforce Enterprise Edition.

The packages of NPSP make it easier for you to use

Salesforce to manage the core relationships between
individual donors, their households, and the companies
they work for.

staff.
The Hub is a place for you to get answers, build

connect with others in the nonprofit, higher ed &
K-12 sectors who are using Salesforce.
What is K-12 ?

K12 is a for-profit education management

organization (EMO). In this sector, K12 does not
operate physical schools, but provides online
curriculum to homeschooled children and
other schools.

Household Account Model:

The standard Salesforce Account object acts as the
household, with numerous contacts (donors) and
opportunities (donations) associated with it.

Whenever you create a Contact record, Salesforce

automatically creates a Household for you

Default account model for Nonprofit Success Pack is

Delete Household Account model

When Account is deleted in NPSP

NPSP deletes associated Recurring Donations,
Account Allocations, and Relationships in addition to standard
Salesforce detail records.

Note: If there are associated Closed/Won

Opportunities or Cases (with any status), you won't
be able to delete the Account. You must first delete
these records manually before you can delete the
Account.

platform, to quickly create reports.
