Installing and using gigabit drivers for Altair, Cirrus and Titanium cameras 2017-04-21/GB

Altair, Cirrus and Vircam work best if the specific Pleora eBus drivers are installed on the computer.

We recommend an INTEL PRO/1000 network interface card (NIC) if the computer is a desktop unit. For
laptop computers, you do not normally have the choice.

This instruction is for Windows XP, Windows 7 32bit and Windows7 64bit. We have not yet tested on
Windows 10.

The current versions of software are:

- Virtualcam 5.91.011
- Altair 5.91.010
- Cirrus 5.80.006
- Pleora eBUS driver (v. 3.3.3)

They can all be downloaded here: http://support.flir.com/ATS-Software

Proceed as follows:

If you are installing an additional NIC for the camera (Recommended) also install the Windows drivers
belonging to the card before installing anything else.

1. Download and unzip the Pleora eBus vision package.

2. Uninstall any older Pleora drivers if present and restart the computer.
3. Run the Pleora eBus vision installation package. (You must be a local administrator in Windows.)
4. The files will be extracted and the installation wizard will start.
5. Click next.
6. Accept the terms and click next.

7. Install to the default folder.

8. If it looks like the installation freezes, please be patient and wait until the installation program
displays the eBus installation tool. (In this case it’s a laptop so there is only one choice.) On
desktop computers you may get several network adapters in the list.

9. On the line corresponding to the NIC you want to use for the camera and under action, select
the driver you want to install, either eBus optimal driver or eBus universal driver. Then click
install. This installation will also take “several minutes” so have patience.

10. When the window shows eBus driver installed, click close and then finish.
11. If ever you want to revert to the native driver, use the Pleora installation tool on the Start menu.

12. Verify in the Control panel>Network and sharing center>Local Area connection properties that
IPV4 is set to obtain an IP address automatically. This is the normal way to connect where the
computer NIC and the camera will obtain Microsoft Zero Configuration IP addresses like
169.254.xxx.xxx.
13. When you connect the camera to the computer and start the camera, wait up to two minutes to
let the IP addresses get established.

Remark: it may help and speed up the connection is you turn off the Wireless network on a laptop.
