OVERVIEW
RPS organized an Industrial Visit on 14th March 2018 at Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd, located at
Bawal for the students BBA and MBA. The visit was organized with prior permission and
guidance of Hon. Director Dr. Mahesh Yadav.
Industrial visit was carried out at Parle for enhancing practical and industrial knowledge of BBA
& MBA students. As a Part of the AICTE guidelines and directives, Industrial Trips are
organized by the colleges under the Educational Trip, so that the students can stay updated with
latest business environment. The main objective behind the visit was to make student aware
about practical skills regarding logistics and documentation and other managerial activities.
I, along with Mr.Vikas Sharma, Training and Placement Officer and 40 students visited the Parle
and started the trip from RPS College Campus at 9:00 a.m. and reached there in an hour. .

Industrial visit was held at Parle-G Biscuits Pvt. Ltd. with a motive of providing the students a
practical experience about the real life corporate world. The company is located in the Rico
Industrial Area of Nimrana city. All the students of MBA and BBA along with the faculty
opportune to visit this industry which is known for its wide range of snacks and confectionary
items that was leaded by Ms. Jyoti Mallik, HR Executive.
First Orientation (Introductory Video about Parle)

Students were seated in an Auditorium and were shown a presentation about Parle Products and
the history of Parle that it was founded in 1929 in British India and was later owned by Naruttam
Chauhan and now the Chauhan family is taking it to higher levels.. The company’s first/founder
factory is in Mumbai and apart from it the mother board has manufacturing plants at Neemrana,
Banglore, Kutch, Bahadurgarh and also around 120 contractual manufacturing units in India.

The students visited company and acknowledged the various processes involved in the
manufacturing of biscuits and confectionaries. They learnt about the different products of Parle.
Such as-Parle G, Monaco, Kismi bar, Mango bite, Krackjack etc.
The production unit at Neemrana mainly deals with the production of Parle –G one of the main
products of Parle. It is a product which is said to be the largest selling biscuit. This plant also has
the printing department from where the wrappers are distributed to other production units of
Parle. The students were also learnt about the 5’S theory of Parle.

The students were shown the plant and its working from the raw material collection to the end
packaging section, where students saw huge ovens and channels through which the products
passes. The students were shown this thing from a distance and on LCD’s which were covering
every range through CCTV cameras. They observed the discipline and hygienic importance at a
FMCG plant and thus they enjoyed visiting there. As a sweet gesture they were given Parle –G
biscuits and this trip widens their knowledge about Parle products.

We left at 1 pm and in an hour came back to campus and then students gave their feedback about
this trip, which was good, they were happy visiting there. This trip brushed up their knowledge
and they came to know that what industry is expecting from future managers. All the students
enjoyed and learnt a lot in this trip.
