Objectives

OBJECTIVES

The study was based on the following objectives:

1. To perform the pharmacognostic and phyto-chemical study of vrkshamla

fruit[Garcinia Indica(Dupetit-thouars)Choisy] and saptaparna bark[Alstonia

Scholaris(L.)R.Br.]

2. To evaluate the Sthaulyahara property(Anti-hyperlipidemic action)of the trial

drugs.

3. To compare the Medohara(Anti-hyperlipidemic)efficacy of Vrkshamla

Garcinia Indica(Dupetit-thouars)Choisy] and saptaparna bark[Alstonia

Scholaris(L.)R.Br.].

HYPOTHESIS:

Null hypothesis – The selected two trial drugs have no Anti-hyperlipidemic activity.

Alternative hypothesis – The selected two trial drugs have Anti- hyperlipidemic activity.
