ACTION PLAN: “SWACHHTA PAKHWADA 01 DEC 2019 TO 15 DEC 2019”

1. It is intimated that SWACHHTA PAKHWADA PROGRAMME will be conducted by

all NCC sub units from 01 Dec to 15 Dec 2019 as per the NCC Dte(TN,P&AN) directions.

2. Broad Conduct: The Swachhta Pakhwada will be carried out by each Institution to
ensure participation by cadets. The Swachhta Pakhwada will broadly cover the following
activities:-

(a) Plogging. ‘Plogging is the term used for a recreational activity which is a mix of
jogging and picking up litter. Mass participation of cadets will be ensured in the
Plog run on 07 Dec 19 and the balance of cadets will participate on 14 Dec 19.

(b) Jagrukta Abhiyan. Jagrukta Abhiyan will also be carried out through
Awareness rallies, Poster / Rangoli, making competitions, Talks / Lectures,
Debates / Seminars in institutions / adopted Village, Nukkad nataks / Plays, hand
wash day , Personal Hygiene day, Pledge taking etc. The sub units should
emphasise upon involving the locals and masses in the Swachhta Abhiyan.
Swachh Bharat Anthem and other Information, Education and Communication
(IEC) material may be displayed by the Gp HQs / Units. This may be obtained from
Dept of Water and Sanitation.

(c) Sharamdaan Activities. These activities will be conducted by NCC Cadets and
Staff. Some suggested activities are cleaning of School / Colleges, historical
monuments, statues of eminent personalities, public places.

(d) Awards. Swachhta Awards may be given at Unit / Gp HQ level.

(e) Responsibility. The overall co-ordination and conduct of the Swachhta

Pakhwada at Institutions.

(f) Publicity. The Institutions will ensure adequate coverage of the Swachhta
Pakhwas through electronic, print and social media.

(g) Detailed Schedule. Day wise schedule that would be implemented by all
Institutions is as per Appx ‘A’ & ‘B’.
3. FEEDBACK REPORT: You are requested that, the daily feedback of activities
along with photographs will be forwarded to this Unit by Email at 1300hrs on daily basis
as per the format given below:-
