4. Express the quadratic function 1 − 6𝑥 − 𝑥 2 , in the form 𝑘 − 𝑎(𝑥 + ℎ)2 , where a, h and k

are constants.

5. Express 3𝑥 2 + 2𝑥 + 1 in the form 𝑎(𝑥 + 𝑝)2 + 𝑞 where a, p and q are real numbers.

6. Given 𝑓(𝑥) = 2𝑥 2 + 4𝑥 − 5

i. Write 𝑓(𝑥) in the form 𝑓(𝑥) = 𝑎(𝑥 + 𝑏)2 + 𝑐 where a, b, c ∈ 𝑹

7. Express the function 𝑓(𝑥) = 4𝑥 2 − 8𝑥 − 2 in the form 𝑎(𝑥 + ℎ)2 + 𝑘 where 𝑎, ℎ 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑘
