Introduction by Srila Giri Maharaja

Two blogs recently posted by Sripada Bhakti Sudhira Goswami Maharaja (“BSG”) have aroused considerable discussion
among devotees sincerely attempting to follow in the line of His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Sundara Govinda Deva
Goswami Maharaja.
In order that facts may displace rumors, and so that the critical points to be considered may be viewed with common
reference points, I have decided to present those blogs here.
As a third point of reference I am also adding a much older blog of BSG, “The Acharya Board of Srila Gurudeva” dated
August 2, 2011.

Finally, anticipating that it may also soon disappear, I am posting a fourth blog “For My Disciples | Bhakti Sudhir
Goswami” dated October 22, 2013.
I will “defer” to a later time, my comments on the issues and questions that will naturally arise as a result of the blogs
BSG posted and then, “in the words of neutral observers, vaporized.”
In order that I can include these documents within this blog, much of the original formatting is absent. As time allows
we will try to improve the formatting. In addition, the originals will soon be included at the end of this blog as PDF’s for
those interested. Russian versions of these documents will also be available shortly.
It should be remembered that Srila Govinda Maharaja, in his Last Will and Testament, designated six acharyas to
succeed him. BSG’s name was not among those six.
It was only after Srila Gurudeva’s disappearance that the five members of the “International Acharya Board” (“IAB”),
formed before Srila Gurudeva’s disappearance and, according to them, headed by Sripada Acharya Maharaja; insisted,
over my strong objections, on making BSG an acharya of “SCSM”. Sripada Trivikrama Maharaja, although not a
member of the IAB until March of 2013 supported this decision which is memorialized in another BSG blog “Bhakti
Sudhir Goswami | Chronicle” of July 3, 2011.
My reasons for objecting to the IAB’s decision to make BSG an acharya of SCSM are twofold. My first objection is
based on the directions given by Srila Gurudeva in His Last Will and Testament. He named only six acharyas to
succeed him. He made no provision for adding even one additional acharya.
I believe Srila Sridhara Maharaja offered us some valuable guidance with regard to understanding what his successor
intended in the directions offered to us in his (Gurudeva’s) Will:
You see, we have come to understand, generally we feel, that Acharya will appoint Acharya, his successor.
But we saw that he did not, he avoided.

I believe there are two instructions here, both of which were enacted by Srila Govinda Maharaja. The first, he
appointed his six successors. The second, “he avoided” naming Sripada Goswami Maharaja, an obvious choice in the
minds of many.
A careful reading of Srila Gurudeva’s Will, which details the Acharya Board (which I refer to as the Acharya Sabha) he
directed us to form after his disappearance, is instructive.
An Acharya Board (Acharya Sabha) shall be formed, composed of initiating acharyas, to consult with one
another regarding all spiritual matters and to give guidance to all Trust Boards.
First, “shall be formed” means it had not yet been formed. Neither is there any list of its members as BSG & the IAB
want us to believe. Because Gurudeva specifically enumerated six Acharyas to succeed him, who could, thereby, be
the only “initiating acharyas”, the members of this Acharya Sabha could only be “composed” of those six acharyas.
Despite every effort on my part, urging the other five acharyas named, to form this Acharya Sabha, it was never done.
Instead the rogue IAB appointed themselves to positions of power and authority never delegated by Srila Gurudeva to
them.
Which brings us to the final point.
The only authority granted to the Acharya Sabha was clearly spelled out, “To consult with one another regarding all
spiritual matters and to give guidance to all Trust Boards.”
Even if the Acharya Sabha had been formed, it was not given the authority to create or eliminate any acharya.
My second reason for objecting to any Acharya Board of SCSM making BSG a seventh acharya is elaborated in an
article I posted on this website more than two years ago, May 9, 2011. It is titled “The Pied Piper of San Jose”.
In its 20th. of July 2011 Censure of Sripad BK Giri Maharaj charges against me, necessitating my excommunication,
were encapsulated thusly; “We must inform the devotees that Giri Maharaj is acting offensively, independently and
without authority.”
What they mean is that I was acting without their (IAB) authority, which I saw as opposing my higher authority, Srila
Govinda Maharaja.
To the best of my knowledge, no accusation of “acting offensively, independently and without authority” has ever been
made by the IAB against either BSG or Sripada Avadhuta Maharaja. It is, therefore, reasonable to assume the actions
of these two are supported by the IAB under whose authority they are operating.
On July 21, 2011, acting under the authority of the IAB, Sripada Bhakti Bimal Avadhuta Maharaja made an interesting
declaration. To the best of my knowledge the IAB, during the last two and a half years since the declaration was made,
have done nothing to oppose it. Therefore, I assume Avadhuta Maharaja was speaking as much for them, as for
himself.
Here’s a portion of Avadhuta Maharaja’s letter containing his declaration, published on his harekrishna.ru website
dated Jul 21, 2011 (emphasis added by me):
I consider after Srila Sridhara Maharaj and Srila Govinda Maharaj the most qualified and
possessing knowledge of vaisnava-siddhanta is Srila Gosvami Maharaj. Therefore, remembering
that our parampara is siksa-parampara, I invoke all devotees, irrespective of their position, to
follow his spiritual leadership. I declare that I consider Srila Goswami Maharaj as the preceptor
of all members of our Mission, both disciples of Srila Govinda Maharaj, and disciples of all of others
Acaryas of our Mission.

BSG’s First “Vaporized” Posting

Dear Srila Acharya Maharaja,
My dandabat pranam,
Forgive my bluntness, but you have run out of time.
If I catch your bray, its as follows: You expect the members of the Primary Trust Board to endanger the lives of
themselves and their followers, and trust you, while you dismiss them as untrustworthy? Stop insulting them with your
nonsense.
Do you recall earlier this year after Gaura Purnima in Puri? Under the influence of a crazy little girl, you foolishly
accused Avadhut Maharaja and I of stealing 50,000 US Dollars from the Math and Mission (the one you think is your
personal property). When you finally woke up, from your self-intoxicated stupor, you realized that you had been
duped. Consistent with your modus aparadhi, you offered no apology. Neither did you set the record straight and
correct the lies you told your Venezuelan Cartel.
Have you no appreciation that Avadhut Maharaja and his devotees risked their lives to protect the Math, and to protect
you? All the while you kept yourself out of harms way, safely hiding outside of India, basking in pratistha. Your non-
stop nonsense mantra, “not to worry, I am managing” has become a joke that is not funny. Perhaps its time to put a
billboard in front of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, Nabadwip, “Not to Worry; Under New Management.”
You have the audacity to mention Madhusudan Maharaja. The only reason he faces arrest is for helping you. You
ingrate! As an affectionate well-wisher and with concern for the successor Acharya of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math,
Madhusudan Maharaja tried to warn you about your dalliances with the Brazilian girl you imported to draw your bath
and tickle your fancy. You arrogantly dismissed him with your usual “What me worry”? Horseshit. I resist the
temptation to call you a “gober Ganesh” because it would be an insult to bullshit. Additionally, I pray to Sri Ganeshji to
remove impediments on the devotional path. Perhaps it is time for you to go on a sentimental journey? I hear Biman
has some deals on cheap flights to Dhaka. I digress. Or perhaps not.
Madhusudan Maharaja is rightfully revered by all Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math members worldwide and by Srila Guru
Maharaja and Srila Gurudeva, and has dedicated his life in service to Srila Guru Maharaja’s Math and its divine
servitors. I only heard Srila Gurudev say repeatedly in his final days “Take shelter of Mahananda Prabhu. All Western
devotees shall follow him.” You never even got honorable mention. Why? Because according to Srila Gurudeva, you
are the successor of Nabadwip Math and “Indian group.” That you are the “worldwide” successor is hype, and you
know it. And anybody with half a brain and their eyes open can see through your ruse.
You have done nothing but repeatedly insult Madhusudan Maharaja. What is wrong with you? With a veranda full of
simple-hearted devotees, you described him in the most vile and nasty language. Have you no shame? Is this your
Hari Katha? Are you so deluded to think that these things go unnoticed? I am so angry at myself for not calling you
out on this sooner.
You are so full of yourself because you choose to surround yourself with morons who relish your insufferable singing
and sahajiya dancing. You would never have had the audacity to do your silly little jig in the presence of Srila
Gurudeva. But now, you not only think your appointment makes you his equal, you boast to your sycophants that you
have surpassed him. In the sad reality that has become your life, you are nothing more than the lead singer at a
wedding of camels wherein a group of asses has been invited to perform.
By the way, if you would familiarize yourself with the divine conceptions of Srila Sridhar Maharaja you would find with
regard to Acharya appointments; statements by any Guru (including Srila Govinda Maharaja):
“Whatever they might say, it is all recommendatory, all relative; not absolute. That is not possible.”
The position of Guru is Supreme in the eyes of his followers. You are not Absolute, Mr. Das. Do you not understand
even basic Gaudiya Siddhanta? Guru is delegated power. It is an extension of Divine Grace. And meditate on this:
according to Srila Guru Maharaja, it can be withdrawn.
Srila Guru Maharaja would have never selected you as Acharya. According to his criteria, you are woefully unfit. He
would have shuttered his Math before handing things over to you.
Srila Govinda Maharaja told me that he selected you out of desperation. He had no suitable alternative amongst his
thrice initiated disciples. He said Paramahamsa Maharaja was a third class man and that your qualification was,
Nabadwip Math manager.
You dare to offensively compare your selection to the “power transmission of the Rupanuga line” from Srila Saraswati
Thakur to Srila Guru Maharaja. Have you lost your mind! You were picked because Srila Govinda Maharaja considers
you fit to oversee his rice fields. You puffed up, impertinent Bangladeshi boy.
You are 22 years junior to Ashram Maharaja and Janardan Maharaja. Although infinitely superior, Srila Govinda
Maharaja treated them with full respect as equals. Unquestionably junior, in age and realization, you mistreat these
most senior, revered, respected members, and Acharyas, as your subordinates. Your audacity is now become
legendary. Its maryada vyatikrama (ask Tyagi Maharaja to explain this to you).
For the record, Srila Guru Maharaja says, “Administration is the position of a ksatriya and the acharya work, that is for
the brahmin, who does not care for this worldly achievement; finance with vaishya…
“Extracting the inner meaning of the scriptures, giving new light… that should be the criteria of the acharya; not a man
who can conduct good administration, make money and recruit more men; that is not the criteria of an acharya.”
Srila Gurudeva warned me many times about Banga (Bangladeshis). He predicted they would ruin Sri Chaitanya
Saraswat Math. And it has come true. All of you, both parties, callously trashing the dignity of Srila Guru Maharaja:
You, Ranajit, Bipul et al. all Bangladeshis; ego driven demons hellbent on destroying Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. In
my opinion, all Bangladeshis, yourself included, should be deported back to your homeland, Bangladesh.
“May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon You”
By the way, if your fellow Bangladeshi, Ranajit with whom you contemplate “a deal” continues with his evil plans to
destroy Srila Guru Maharaja’s Math and dispossess the Deities of their property, rape charges will be brought against
him. Only this will not be a false case. All the veranda servitors of Srila Gurudeva know that he is a rapist; they all
know whom he raped, and are prepared to testify. On my recent visit to Vrindavan I stopped in Delhi and shark-like
lawyers are preparing testimony to guarantee success.
If you read the newspapers, then you know this is a huge issue with India and world opinion. And the Indian
Government is nothing short of bloodthirsty to convict and punish actual rapists. They want to set and example and
show to the Western world that they mean business. Ranajit’s time is near. He will not escape this deserved reaction.
But as you might say, “Not to worry; the Laws of Karma are managing.”
I was with Srila Govinda Maharaja for the last seven years of his manifest pastimes. Do you think he never spoke with
me candidly? Do you think he never revealed his mind and heart to me? Do you think he never told me, beyond
perfunctory flattery, what he actually thinks of you and so many others?
About you my dear friend, he shared the following. Once while watching the news, the infamous Lalu Babu came on
the screen. Being unfamiliar with him I asked Srila Gurudeva, who is this character? He offered, “The biggest liar in
Bihar.” Paused and then said, “Oh, he’s also the Chief Minister.” I laughed. Then Gurudeva deadpanned, “Acharya
Maharaja is his cousin.”
In the last four years you have squandered huge amounts of the Math’s money on your personal problems. Not for
“the Acharya of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math” but for you, whoever you are, whatever your name is, and wherever
you are from. To this day, no one knows your actual identity, and by that I don’t mean your swarup. Who do you think
you are!
You repeatedly blatantly ignore the expressed will of Srila Gurudeva regarding the Primary Trust and finances.
NOW HEAR THIS!
If I, and others, withdraw our support from you, you are finished. The actual Supreme Court is our guru varga. If their
backing is withdrawn, we become zero, and less than zero.
There are many who believe that I am mostly responsible for establishing you as a “worldwide acharya”. It has been
observed by some that I may not be everything you might desire in a friend but am considered a super-excellent
enemy. Srila Guru Maharaja observed, “Goswami Maharaja is bold, bordering reckless”. You may recall, in defense of
the dignity of the holy lotus feet of Srila Guru Maharaja, I went after the biggest sahajiya guru in modern times. And in
the words of neutral observers, “vaporized him”.
You have callously dragged the name of Srila Guru Maharaja’s Math through the mud of public opinion with your self-
serving lies and deception. Srila Govinda Maharaja honored me as his godbrother and co-disciple of Srila Sridhar
Maharaja. I will not tolerate your selfish, inconsiderate disregard for Srila Guru Maharaja’s Math. I will convince the
world that you, in no way, shape or from, represent Srila Guru Maharaja and the Math that he conceived. Don’t dream
for a moment that I am incapable of doing this.
“Goswami Maharaja is a man who conserves his energy, and at the time of the greatest necessity, comes
through with full force”.—Srila Sridhar Maharaja
Like the cascading waterfalls indicated in your pranam mantram, understand this clearly: If upon the receipt of this
email, you do not immediately, begin to respect the will of Srila Gurudeva, and convene a meeting of the Primary
Trust, via Skype, you will leave with me with no other choice than to withdraw my support for you as the Acharya of
Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math.
I will actively and openly seek a suitable replacement as per the criteria outlined by Srila Guru Maharaja in his will and
Debottar.

Dear Srila Acharya Maharaja, My dandabat pranam.
Worldwide the devotees are all praying that your legal matters will be resolved as soon as possible and that you will
safely return to Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math in Nabadwip Dham. It is the sincere hope of one and all that you will
emerge triumphantly and continue to lead the Math and Mission as per the will of Srila Gurudeva.
In this regard you know better than anyone how the opposition is trying to illegally take over the Math properties and
finances. They even tried to get the government tax authorities to heavily tax the Deities property and forfeit Their
Divine residence and domain. We know they plan to go after all the Maths worldwide to claim them, sell them, and or
tax them.
ISKCON has had many such similar problems for many years. Srila Swami Maharaja realized that having all the
properties tied to one thing could put all of them in jeopardy. Similarly, we think it unwise to tie the fate of all the
Math properties and finances to the legal problems of a single individual. Even if he is the Sevaite Acharya. In his will
Srila Guru Maharaja concurs:
“If any sebait wrongfully causes serious harm or damage to the Debottar property or develops immoral
character and goes astray and betrays extreme apathy towards the seva work then, excepting the said
sebaite, all the other trustees exercising majority opinion, in the presence of any special Acharya having
faith in the Sree Chaitanya Saraswat stream and pursuant to his written consent, by changing him as per
the unanimous decision in the meeting shall be competent to appoint as sebait any suitable Sannyasi or a
person who has discarded his home, from among the disciples initiated in this Math.”
For the last four years you have told the Acharya Board and the Primary Trust, “not to worry, I am managing this
matter”. But frankly, we are worried, and with good cause. Repeatedly we have asked you to respect Srila Gurudeva’s
will with regard to the necessity of the Primary Trust assisting you in the legal functioning, management of the Math
and Mission but to no avail.
Srila Gurudeva writes in his Last Will and Testament:
“The Primary Trust…trustees shall assist the President Sevaite Acharya in the governing of the Mission and
the authority of this Primary Trust shall be supreme over any and all other Trusts.”
We have also repeatedly asked that you respect Srila Gurudeva’s will regarding financial matters:
“At present whatever money are there in my hand, all that will be spent after Sripad Mahananda Prabhu,
Sripad Mangal Maharaj and Sripad Acharya Maharaj take decision after sitting together… The responsibility
of monetary affairs will be on Sripad Mahananda Prabhu, Sripad Mangal Maharaj and Sripad Acharya
Maharaj.”
While much has been made of “Gurudeva’s Will” regarding supporting you, his will regarding the Primary Trust and
finances has been blatantly ignored. There is no legitimate reason for this. Srila Govinda Maharaja named the
members of The Primary Trust because he “trusts” them. We have given you absolute trust for the last four years but
you have not reciprocated that trust. For whatever reason you ignore Gurudeva’s expressed will regarding the Primary
Trust and instead have entrusted all Math and Mission property titles, important documents etc. with your “relatives”
(whatever that means in India). Do you seriously think Srila Gurudeva would approve? Because he is not here to check
and correct, you operate unilaterally. And because you are the Sevaite Acharya you operate with impunity.
As you are facing jail, and are presently in the eyes of the Indian government’s Supreme Court, a criminal and a
fugitive from justice, you are entrusting Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math and Mission to your hired hand Santosh Prabhu.
You propose transferring power of attorney to him, thereby ipso facto making him the Sevaite and legal managing
authority of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math and Mission. With all due respect, Srila Gurudev did not indicate anywhere,
under any circumstances that Santosh Prabhu would assume the post of Sevaite, and transfer all power and authority
of the Math and Mission to him. Such empowerment can be done only with the approval of the Primary Trust and with
the surrogate operating solely and wholly under their discretion.
Even more worrisome is the fact that the last time you placed Santosh Prabhu in charge, he fled the Math for the
shelter of his home, wife and children. Such attachment makes him vulnerable to the threat and extortion from the
opposition. This is an extremely unwise decision; an act of desperation. Srila Guru Maharaja says in his will that we
can only “appoint as sebait any suitable Sannyasi or a person who has discarded his home [wife, children, family] from
among the disciples initiated in this Math.” There is a reason for his establishing this criteria and the precise wording.
Srila Guru Maharaja is after all the Founder Acharya of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. His directives must be obeyed.
Although we have repeatedly tried to communicate with you and your assistants, you have not informed us of
anything with regard to your actual situation. We are left with secondhand information, rumors, and hearsay. You
purposefully keep the simple-hearted devotees worldwide in the dark. Why? Because you need their hard earned
donations to fund your legal troubles. The only mantra you have chanted in the last four years is, “I’m managing the
situation, not to worry.”
Unfortunately Maharaja, you are not managing this situation well on your own and we are very worried. You refuse to
keep us informed in any real and meaningful way. Your utter distrust of us and total disregard for the expressed will of
Srila Gurudeva fills us with worry and consternation. We would be derelict in our duties and responsibilities to Srila
Gurudeva and Srila Guru Maharaja if we sit idly and do nothing while the Math is under siege. And since you are
unwilling to include us in the decision making we have no other recourse than to take preventative measures to
protect the Math and Mission in India and worldwide.
Still, we have not given up hope. When your legal matters are resolved, and you demonstrate the willingness to
establish and preside as President over a legally functioning Primary Trust, with regard to managing the Math and
Mission and its finances, then only will the will of Srila Gurudeva will be fully and properly respected. Then we can all
expect to be successful in our sincere endeavors to serve Srila Guru Maharaja’s and Srila Gurudeva’s Maths and
Mission.
Until that time we wish you the best and hope that all these matters may be solved soon by the Grace of Sri Sri Guru,
Gauranga, Gandharva Govindasundar Jiu.

BSG’s Third “Vaporized” Posting

Understanding that he would leave the world within days, on March 7, 2010, Srila Govinda Maharaja established the
Acharya Board of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. Srila Gurudeva named five Acharya members:
Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaja
Bhakti Kusum Ashram Maharaja
Bhakti Pavan Janardan Maharaja
Bhakti Sudhir Goswami Maharaja
Bhakti Bimal Avadhut Maharaja

The document was approved; signed, Swami B.S. Govinda. Srila Govinda Maharaja did not name any non-acharya to
his Acharya Board.
Srila Govinda Maharaja formed the Acharya Board for the specific purpose of giving guidance and direction after his
disappearance. The idea that it would be cancelled upon his disappearance is absurd. The idea that the reference in his
will is to another Acharya Board, which somehow cancels Srila Govinda Maharaja’s Acharya Board, is equally absurd
and against common sense.
An Acharya Board (Acharya Sabha) shall be formed, composed of initiating acharyas, to consult with one
another regarding all spiritual matters and to give guidance to all Trust Boards.
Who formed the Acharya Board in question? Srila Govinda Maharaja. After having the Acharya Board concept added to
his will, Srila Govinda Maharaja personally named the members. That Srila Govinda Maharaja named Goswami
Maharaja a member of the Acharya Board proves ipso facto that His Divine Grace considered him an Acharya.
Additionally, he previously stated:
He is already directly empowered by Srila Guru Maharaja to initiate. But if he will act as my ritvik, I will be
very happy.
Before his disappearance in March, in January, Srila Govinda Maharaja, authorized Bhakti Sudhir Goswami to be an
Acharya of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math:
If Goswami Maharaja will act as a Guru of Chaitanya Saraswat Math that will be very good. Guru Maharaja
was attached with Goswami Maharaja. [January 9, 2010]
The Acharya Board mentioned in the will is the same Acharya Board nominated personally by Srila Govinda Maharaja.
There are not two. The criterion “initiating acharyas” allows for the addition of members. Members may also be
eliminated as per Srila Guru Maharaja’s directives previously concerning an Acharya Board.
The Censure of Sripad BK Giri Maharaja
We will have to behave in such way that the newcomers sraddha is not disturbed… I have my own
conception; that should be kept in the mental world and not outside. Because the newcomers will be
disturbed, their sraddha will be disturbed. The newcomers should be encouraged. [Srila Sridhar Maharaja]
We understand from Srila Guru Maharaja that a Godbrother or Godsister can have an impartial view of a Godbrother
Guru that is not necessarily offensive.
When you are alone, the acharya brother and non- acharya brother, you can mix freely; you can give a
slap to his cheek but when publicly amongst his disciples, you must show respect to the chair… The
conception of my Godbrother, I may have, I may foster that within the heart but we won’t disturb the
disciple. [Srila Sridhar Maharaja]
One may have a difference of opinion, another point of view, another conception. What is objectionable is to publicly
attack the Acharya of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math; to publish extreme criticism. Giri Maharaja concedes he has made
some “mild criticism of Sripad Acharya Maharaja” via internet spam. An example?
Srila Acharya Maharaja and his fellow acharyas are a “group of clowns” that he is “embarrassed to be associated with”.
I am reminded of a group of clowns… When a few Acharyas with big mouths and slow brains make foolish
public declarations supposed to represent ALL OF US, I cannot and will not tolerate it. I do not want to be
thought to be a part of such foolishness. In spite of all I’ve said and done to this point they continue to
behave like clowns making all of us appear to be part of the clown act. I did not come to Srila Guru
Maharaja to be a clown.
Is it acceptable to lampoon the Acharya of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math by publicly calling him a clown? Does that
come under the heading of mild criticism? For some perspective, would it have been acceptable to lampoon Srila
Govinda Maharaja as a clown? No. It would not have been acceptable; it is not acceptable now.
Another example:
Is Acharya Maharaja following the direction of his guru? If he is deviating why should he be respected? …that he is
deviating is clear.
Is it acceptable to publicly vilify the Acharya of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math as disobeying the order of his guru and
dismiss him as unworthy of respect? Would that have been an acceptable criticism in the time of Srila Govinda
Maharaja? There were those who were of that opinion. Should they be invited back to the Math for a respectful
hearing? No. It was not acceptable then; it is not acceptable now.
Giri Maharaja attempts to demote the website of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math by calling it, “Acharya Maharaja’s
website”.
He says the Math in Nabadwip is no longer the central Math; he has downgraded it to, “Acharya Maharaja’s Math.”
Can you now begin to understand why I stopped referring to the Nabadwip Math as the main Math, central Math,
etc.? It is Acharya Maharaja’s Math.
Giri Maharaja says now that the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math in Nabadwip is no longer the central Math, he will
establish his Math as the main Math of the mission.
My determination is now to make my Math the central Math. Whether it is in New Jersey, New York or Nabadwip is
entirely irrelevant.
While recognizing that Srila Govinda Maharaja has given Srila Acharya Maharaja and the Acharya Board the “charge to
guide his Mission” Giri Maharaja says he will now take charge of the mission.
Srila Acharya Maharaja and the Acharya Board are, either incapable or unwilling to follow the direction and charge
given them by Srila Gurudeva to guide his Mission after his disappearance. I am, therefore, taking the charge
myself…
Going Global | 6 Missions? | 6 Sampradayas? Giri Maharaja concludes,
We no longer have one mission; we have 6 gurus, 6 missions, 6 sampradayas.
Srila Acharya Maharaja and the Acharya Board maintain there is one mission with a plurality of gurus. Srila Govinda
Maharaja did not express at any time his wish that Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math divide into six missions and six
sampradayas.
Rather, in his Last Will and Testament, wherein he names multiple Acharyas for the Western world, he says clearly:
There will be one single Acharya, Sevaite and President of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. That will be Sri Bhakti
Nirmal Acharya…
This is consistent with Srila Govinda Maharaja’s public declaration of Srila Acharya Maharaja as the “next Acharya of
this Math” Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. It is also consistent with Srila Govinda Maharaja’s view that his successor
must be a threefold initiated disciple (Harinam; Mantra Diksha; Sannyasa).
That Giri Maharaja was named Acharya and successor of the Math established by him is not in question. That he is by
default promoting himself as the global (worldwide) successor, dismissing Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math in Nabadwip as
the central Math of the Mission, and declaring his own Math its replacement, is as outrageous as it is unacceptable.
And one more thing…
One fact Giri Maharaja wants everyone to forget — one cloud that keeps raining on his parade — is that he was
respectfully invited to and attended the Acharya Board meetings. Repeat, he was invited to and attended the Acharya
Board meetings. After turning them into chaos and being begged to leave; he acquiesced. In a rare moment of clarity
and candor, he wrote the following email:
Subject: Clouds Cleared | From: Swami B.K. Giri | April 11, 2010
Let me say unequivocally that I recognize, accept and respect the authority of the Acharya Board created by Srila
Gurudeva’s directive of March 7, 2010. Furthermore you have my complete backing and support for any actions
you may choose to take.
These meetings took place a few days after the disappearance of Srila Govinda Maharaja. Overwhelmed by grief and
separation, the last thing anyone was thinking about was becoming a Guru; an Acharya. In a state of devastation,
most wondered how they would go on with their lives. Giri Maharaja condemns the other Acharyas for deferring to
Srila Acharya Maharaja at that time of Srila Gurudeva’s disappearance.
What is the meaning of defer?
defer |diˈfər|
verb ( defers, deferring , deferred ) [ with obj. ]
put off (an action or event) to a later time; postpone: they deferred establishing themselves as Acharyas
until another time.
Defer does not mean to resign or become derelict in one’s duty. What was obvious to most was the immediate
necessity to show unity; to establish and support the Acharya of the central Math, Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math,
Nabadwip; the only Math established directly by Srila Guru Maharaja. The other Acharyas, deferred selflessly, in favor
of establishing and supporting Acharya Maharaja, and put off establishing themselves to another time. This is not
something to be condemned. Rather, if much is to be made of deferring, it should be praised.
Conclusion | The Authorized Acharya Board
It is not that I shall indulge all my sentiments to be the Godly and others are all bogus — I don’t talk like that.

Is it really, as Giri Maharaja says, that Acharya Maharaja and the other Acharyas have ignored Srila Gurudeva’s order
to form an Acharya Board?
Is it reasonable to think that, knowing he would leave the world within days, Srila Govinda Maharaja established an
Acharya Board that he intended to be cancelled upon his disappearance a few days later?
Or is it that Giri Maharaja is in a state of denial, dismissing the fact that, just days before departing the world, Srila
Govinda Maharaja personally formed the Acharya Board, named the members (all Acharyas, according to him) and
signed the document authorizing its legitimacy.

My dandabat pranams, and where appropriate, my blessings, with love and affection.
As I have been asked repeatedly, I am stating my positions regarding: Bharati Maharaja; Narayan Maharaja’s
followers; using Guru’s facilities to promote others; the origins of my preaching in Russia and Ukraine, and Srila
Avadhut Maharaja as the Acharya of the Russian mission (Russian speaking countries).
BHARATI MAHARAJA
Unfortunately I cannot forget the last words I heard from the lotus mouth of Srila Gurudeva regarding Bharati
Maharaja, “I do not want to see his face; I do not want to hear his name.” In response to Srila Gurudeva’s offering him
the seva of acquiring a new Math in London, he solicited Srila Gurudeva, “How much money are you prepared to give?
Eighty; one hundred thousand U.S. dollars?” Srila Gurudeva was shocked; insulted by his insolence. He looked over to
me, “Maharaja, what is this!” For those who propose to promote his face and name, may God help you (but I don’t
think He will). I am reminded of Srila Gurudeva once saying, “You are telling it is Father Krishna but I am thinking it is
Ma Kali”.
If someone wants to preach independently, I have no objection, but not as a parasite of the preaching of Avadhut
Maharaja and his dedicated followers. To criticize him and then suck his blood is hypocrisy. Bharati Maharaja has
shown expertise in converting Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math devotees into his factory workers but no such deftness at
converting his employees into devotees.
I wish him all success in his sincere endeavors. Consistent with the statement above, one might say, to his credit,
after the disappearance of His Divine Grace, Bharati Maharaja paid half the cost of the new London Math. But sadly,
ignoring the order of Srila Gurudeva to pay the full amount, thereby rescinding all previous sanctions.
Still, I maintain special appreciation for his singlehandedly throwing out Narayan Maharaja and his followers from Sri
Chaitanya Saraswat Math. That took mahā- gulikām. Srila Govinda Maharaja remarked, “What we should have done
years ago, Bharati Maharaja has done.”
Regarding his modus operandi, that is a matter I decline to discuss.
FOLLOWERS OF B.V. NARAYAN MAHARAJA | SEVA OF SRI GURU
As for those who in ignorance naively court the followers of Narayan Maharaja, inviting them to “fish in our pond” (a
preaching pavilion created by Avadhut Maharaja): This is ill-advised and spiritually illegal. Our singular purpose is to
extend the unparalleled conceptions of Srila Guru Maharaja and Srila Gurudeva’s glorious service to him. Srila Guru
Maharaja said to allow the facilities of Sri Guru to be used in the service of others is like offering your wife for
prostitution.
Their so-called guru is the man of whom Srila Guru Maharaja said, “In so many things I differ with them; and I told
them so but they are angry with me.” And in the presence of Srila Gurudeva, Srila Guru Maharaja told me about this
fellow, “He became angry with me and abused me in a very nasty way, therefore I withdrew all connection.” Abused
the Rupanuga Dhara; The One Carrying the Current of the Line of Sri Rupa, our beloved Srila Guru Maharaja.
On the very day Srila Guru Maharaja left the world, that afternoon the postman delivered an ugly letter from Narayan
Maharaja criticizing Srila Guru Maharaja. The coup de grâce for Srila Govinda Maharaja; he would later refer to him as
“an infectious disease.”
“Why are his followers coming to our programs? We are abusing their guru.”
Lastly, regarding his innumerable offenses (aparadha; against Sri Radha and her proxy Srila Sridhar Maharaja) Srila
Govinda Maharaja opined, “He will not be a Vaishnava in a thousand lifetimes.” “The inhabitants of hell will be afraid to
see his face, and they will have to create a new kind of hell to accommodate him.”
PREACHING IN RUSSIA AND UKRAINE
I first entered Russia and the Ukraine in 1978. Before that I was preaching extensively in Eastern Europe. My then
partner and I received this letter from His Divine Grace, Srila Prabhupada (written by his secretary):
“I have been instructed by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada to thank you for your report dated 11th July,
1977 about your preaching in the Communist countries… Srila Prabhupada has expressed His great
pleasure at the preaching going on in the Eastern European Communist Countries. Now that your report
has come Srila Prabhupada considers it the high point in all preaching.
His Divine Grace said, “Your preaching is more successful that all other countries. Krishna is giving us all
encouragement. I am very much grateful to both of you. My Guru Maharaja was so anxious for some
books to be printed and distributed. Now because of your assisting me, my Guru Maharaja is so much
pleased. Therefore I am very much indebted to you both.”
By causeless good fortune, I am a direct disciple of Srila Prabhupada and a grand- disciple of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta
Saraswati Thakur. Srila Prabhupada very much appreciated my preaching in Communist countries, as well as
distributing his books and preaching to the intelligentsia, university professors and academics. In his final days in 1977
he wrote the above letter acknowledging that our preaching was giving him life and assisting in his divine service to
the lotus feet of his guru; further indicating the approval and pleasure of Srila Saraswati Thakur.
And as Srila Guru Maharaja revealed to me in our first meeting: “The cloud of atheism hanging over the Soviet Union
lifted after Srila Swami Maharaja blessed Mother Russia with the touch of his holy lotus feet. Now you can preach there
successfully.” I am humbly trying to continue under the influence of this divine conception.
SRILA AVADHUT MAHARAJA | ACHARYA OF RUSSIA
It is undeniable that Srila Govinda Maharaja clearly and publicly declared, Srila Acharya Maharaja “as the next acharya
of this Math,” Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, Nabadwip, and “Indian group.” [1] However, no one should think this
somehow cancels Srila Avadhut Maharaja and the other Acharyas. Equally clear is his expressed will and desire that
Srila Avadhut Maharaja be the Acharya of Russian speaking countries; Russia and Ukraine included. Please note the
following with renewed emphasis:
“The devotees of Russia (and Russian speaking countries like Ukraine) shall follow Sripad Avadhut Maharaj
completely. If one hundred per cent is not possible, at least all concerned will respect and regard him,
because Sripad Bhakti Bimal Avadhut Maharaj has taken leading role in the propagation in Russia since the
beginning. I want to see Sripad Avadhut Maharaj as the Acharya in Russia. I shall be pleased if everyone in
Russia abides by Avadhut Maharaj and becomes loyal to him.” —Last Will and Testament | Srila Govinda
Maharaja
“Avadhut Maharaj—he will do wrong or right, but he is fully dedicated, then they will follow Avadhut, as he
wants; that will be devotion. Because Russian Mission, 10,000 almost, has grown by his service, and still
going on, expanding into Ukraine…” —Srila Govinda Maharaja
Actually, Avadhut Maharaja is much more openminded and accommodating than I. He possesses an unlimited
tolerance in dealing with others for seva. He personifies vaikuntha vrtti (liberal distribution; access without restriction).
And as Srila Gurudeva approvingly observed, “a mysterious power works on his behalf”.
Things have reached a point where I need to make my position crystal clear to my disciples, followers and friends:
I will not tolerate the abuse of such a sincere, extraordinary, and dear Super-Servitor of Srila Gurudeva, Srila Guru
Maharaja and Srila Prabhupada, and my Param Guru Maharaja, Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur. Unless and
until you offer yourself in service to Saraswati Thakur’s servant’s servant’s servant, you are living in delusion. If, for
whatever reason, you cannot serve alongside, then a safe position is to offer your dandabats from afar.

(Remember: I wrote this from my heart.) Dearest Disciples, Devotees and Friends, My dandabat pranams to one and
all.
I wish to express my deep appreciation to all of my disciples, followers and friends who have sent their heartfelt well-
wishes and praise. I am humbled, honoured and moved by what you have expressed. I know that although I am an
extremely fallen soul, you are giving your regard to me for the reflected substance of our Divine Masters: Srila
Govinda Maharaja, Srila Sridhar Maharaja and Srila Swami Maharaja Prabhupada. For the glory of our Guru Varga I
send it upward as an offering to their Holy Lotus Feet.
I am so fortunate to have the association of you all, and the privilege to serve by your side. I am particularly indebted
to Srila Bhakti Bimal Avadhut Maharaja (as we all are). He is a seva dynamo! You will not find a better friend in this
world, than one who gives you innumerable service opportunities. This is the goal of all aspiring servitors. He
repeatedly sets the stage through a concerted effort and much genius, and humbly asks me to take the podium. We
are all witness to, and participants in, the miracle that is the preaching of Srila Avadhut Maharaja. He is divinely gifted
with an extraordinary capacity. As Srila Gurudeva so aptly observed, “a mysterious power works on his behalf”.
Krishna likes to serve His pure devotees.
It remains the desire of Srila Govinda Maharaja that I serve alongside Srila Avadhut Maharaja. I also serve under his
direction. I worship the day, that by His Divine Will, Srila Gurudeva brought us together. It is our eternal good fortune
that His Divine Grace’s every word and wish must come true (satya-vak). His well-wishes for us are beyond what we
can fully conceive. Our present good fortune, realized in service and association, heralds an inconceivably bright and
wonderful future. In service to the Holy Lotus Feet, of Sri Sri Guru Gauranga, Radha Govinda and Their Servitors, we
shall certainly always remain connected.
Once again, with my love and affection for you all, I remain your aspiring servant (dasoshmi). Bhakti Sudhir Goswami

satyaṁ brūyāt priyaṁ brūyāt na brūyāt satyam-apriyaṁ priyaṁ ca nānṛtaṁ brūyāt eṣa dharmas-sanātanaḥ
“Tell truth; tell pleasing; never tell truth which is not pleasing; neither you will talk what is pleasing but
not true. This is the real conception of sanatan dharma.”
“Unnecessarily do not give pain to any person; that is the underlying principle.” Srila Guru Maharaja
I am very conscious of this admonition. Some of the words I have expressed are unhappy truth. But it has been said
that sadhu is one who cuts sharply with sometimes unpleasant language. As a surgeon is our friend when he cuts out
a cancer.
tato duḥsaṅgam utsṛjya satsu sajjeta buddhimān santa evāsya chindanti mano-vyāsaṅgam uktibhiḥ
“The intelligent give up bad association and associate with sadhus. Their words cut our attachment to
acquired prejudice.” Srimad Bhagavatam 11.26.26
Still, it should be understood that what I have written to you is exclusively my opinion. Srila Avadhut Maharaja is the
Acharya of the Russian mission of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, and may be consulted for his own nuanced position.
