Cloudy Sky

When I wake up to the cloudy sky

I was overwhelmed
Looking to the distance with heavy eyes
It is not that I want to go back
But simply I miss the way it was

The sunny morning

Smell of fresh bread
when father is back from bakery
The lovely voice of mother
Call every one to sit to table
And whole family loud laughter
May I miss those days

So strange
All those memories suddenly fade away
Giving it place to each drop of tears
To remind me of my fears
1
A glimpse in to sky and notice refugee birds
Flying in the sky

Memories are coming back

The scream, cry and a shout for help
Dusty air and blood every where
And all
A hint to who I am now

My country has 40 million souls

Some are living in mansions
Some are living in broken holes
And yet there is no place for us
Nobody is safe
And yet there is no place for us

I escape death to find refuge

I am told I have no country now
2
I am told I am a lie
And
I am told that modern history books
may forget my name

They call us refugee

We can all be refugees
So
we hide ourselves in their language
until we sound just like them
change the way we dressed
to look just like them
made this place home
until we live just like them

once again, I opened my eyes

the clouds are gone and appeared the sun
