● In the first chapter it is being told that the Pakistan


Army didn’t have the full authority to move it’s soldiers
to the front line with full force.
● Pakistan army was in command of the British
Commander in Chief. It was impossible for the
Pakistan army to make their own decisions as all the
senior appointments and decisions were held by the
british people.
● War between Pakistan and India would lead to direct
hindrance in peace of the subcontinent.
● India was trying to take as much land as they could.

● If the supreme superior heads of the stakeholders


have been told to intervene in the kashmir than India
wouldn't had so much power in the Jummah Kashmir.
● By taking the land with force India deprvied the
Muslim majority region from Pakistan and played
strategically very well.
● When Dogra Army attacked the people in Kashmir, A
large number of Muslims who were serving in the
Pakistan Army along with the locals tribes man
attacked, retialted and pushed backed the atrocities
into the Srinagar.
● The resources were limited to stop the Indians to
attack.
● India went aggressive after January 1949.
● Indian harassing tactics destroyed Pakistan image in
the international forums.
● The role of the USMAG was very important.
● Pakistani Army was fully prepared for the Indian
attack.
● Pakistan Army was fully vigilant to stop any Indian
attack.
● New tactics were made from time to time stop the
Indians.
● Minimum troops were used to create an illusion and to
stop the Indians.
● Gunners from Pakistan played an Important role in
the attack.
● New tactical methods were used by Pakistan to stop
the Indians.
● Pakistan army was short on equipment.
● US military equipment was very short.
● Our artillery was remarkable.
● Our gunners were perfectionist.
● Despite being short on the equipment our military
played a very important role.
● Our mechanical and electrical engineers played a
lead role in our team and kept things running.
● The unsettled issue was the prime reason of Pakistan
and India attacking each other.
● Our retaliation was the only way we can stop the
Indian guns from attacking us.
● Indians army went berserk.
● Indians strong points were destroyed.
● Second attack took place at 18 August.
● Operation Grand Slam was launched in the Chamb
Sector on 1st September 1965.
● Preparations to open fire for the Battle of chamb
started on 28 August.
● Pakistan used Unorthodox deployment of forces to
destroy the artillery of Indian forces.
● The enemy defenses were destroyed at every
instance.
● Pakistan attacks were highly accurate.
● Pressure was maintained at every instance.
● There was a rapid attack on me that was a surprise.
● There was a number of air attack done on the Indians.
● Akhnoor was an important standoff between Pakistan
and India.
● The war between Pakistan and India had a huge
impact on both of these economies.
● Indians launched their main offensive in the Sialkot
Sector Charwa two days later.
● The battle of Chawinda is remembered would be
remembered in history.
● The Indian offense at Jassar.
● The Indian Armoured Division displayed a high
degree of fighting efficiency.
● The medium Guns and the heavy guns were the
principal target of the enemy.
● The war of 1965 left an impression on our people that
India was clearly our enemy.
● On 12 september counter bombardment was done on
Indians.
● Every enemy in our sight was targeted.
● Every enemy attack was renewed at 1500 hours at
Chawinda.
● The GHQ response was to retaliate every time enemy
attacked.
● Enemy positions were firing from different positions.
● By 19 th September the enemies had very very little
fight in them
● The political environment in East Pakistan gave India
an excuse to intervene.
● Withdrawal was the most difficult thing we could do.
● A decision was made to stop and prevent incursions
from entering into the border.
● Vital decisions were taken to stop Indians from
entering into East Pakistan but it wasn’t sufficient.
● A Half hearted war was fought in West Pakistan.
● The Indians tested their Nuclear weapon in 18 May in
1974.
● When India acquired the nuclear capability it was a
mean of loss of power in the region.
● So Pakistan has to develop it’s nuclear capability to
fight the Indians.
