Belgian born pianist Aaron Wajnberg rapidly became one of the most sought
after collaborative pianists of his generation after his performance as a vocal
accompanist at the International Queen Elisabeth Voice Competition 2018. In 2011, he made his Carnegie Hall debut and has performed worldwide ever since at major venues such as the Teatro Municipal Rio de Janeiro, Veronica Hagman Hall Danbury (Connecticut), Palau de les Arts Valencia, the Bayerische Staatsoper München, the Dutch National Opera, Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Clara Schumann Saal Frankfurt, Crystall Hall Rogaska Slatina, Mozarteum Salzburg, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Teatro Communale Bologna, Teatro Verdi Milano, Auditorium du Nouveau Siècle Lille, Ruse State Opera (Bulgaria), Baltasar Dias Municipal Theatre Funchal (Madeira), Kiev Philharmonic Hall, Elisabethzaal, Flemish Opera, DeSingel and AMUZ Festival van Vlaanderen (Antwerp), LaMonnaie, FLAGEY, Miry Concert Hall Ghent, Brussels Royal Conservatoire. He has established himself as a chamber musician in high demand, played concerts with the Russian violinist Artiom Shishkov as well as Fernando Gonzalez, Julien Hervé, Roman Patocka, Maciej Pikulski, Dmytro Sukhovienko, Levente Kende, Matthew Barley and chamber music ensembles as the Terra Nova Collective, Quatuor Enesco, Quatuor Danel among others. He was the accompanist for international masterclasses and recitals by great singers such as Ann Murray, Héloise Mas, Edith Wiens, Maxim Mikhailov, Charlotte Wajnberg, Liesbeth Devos, Stephanie Friede, Cairan Ryan, Hanne Roos, Emma Char, Karen Vermeiren, Lubov Stuchevskaya, Thomas Allen, Sergei Leiferkus, Gary Jankowski, Jean-Paul Fouchecourt, Stefan Cifolelli, Danylo Matviienko, Yuriy Hadzetsky, Sooyeon Lee... He studied at the Royal Antwerp Conservatoire with L. Kende, J. De Beenhouwer and Lucienne Van Deyck, at the Royal Ghent Conservatoire with V. Samoshko and in Italy with M° Leonid Margarius. He specialized as a Lieder pianist with Helmut Deutsch in Vienna and with Roger Vignoles in London. Today he holds the Chair of the Piano Department at the Royal Antwerp Conservatoire and has been invited to give masterclasses in New York and Frankfurt. He regularly performs contemporary music and has collaborated with composers such as L. Brewaeys, P. Boesmans, A. Besses and R. Groslot. He made his debut CD for the Austrian label Salzburg Concert Records and with the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra he will record a CD for the label NAXOS. (june 2020) Since 2019, Aaron Wajnberg has been the artistic director of Antwerp LiedFest.
