Technical Analysis
Trend Analysis

Up Trend – Above chart shows uptrend. Bottom of three consecutive red candles when connected
together using a line which connects three such bottoms shows an uptrend`

Down Trend – Above chart shows downtrend. Highs of three consecutive white candles when
connected together using a line which connects three such highs shows an downtrend.
Ascending & descending Triangles

Cup and Handle Pattern

 An uptrend followed by a decrease for a few months followed by an uptrend


 The high points on either side should be almost equal
 The handle depth should be lesser than the cup’s depth and could be between 1 to 4 weeks
 Then there will be a breakout supported by volume as well
Inverse Head and Shoulder Pattern

 Both inverse shoulders should be of approx. same price


 Inverse Head should be higher than both shoulders
 Volume should drop from first shoulder to head and increase from head to second shoulder and
breakout after 3rd shoulder
 The neck line i.e. the trend line drawn from the bottom of the first shoulder to the bottom of the
2nd shoulder. If this neck line is sloping upwards, the trend will be bullish and if its sloping
downwards then trend will less bullish

Rounded Bottom

 A downtrend followed by an uptrend spanning a few months in between


 Up volume at the start of downtrend and at the end of the up trend
 Depth of the cup will determine the target rise after the breakout
RSI - Bullish Divergence

LL HL

 RSI is in oversold zone


 RSI makes Lower Low (LL) and Higher Low (HL) within the oversold zone so that the trend
line shows an upward trend
 Price chart however shows a falling price trend

Pivot points
 Pivot points are the resistance and support levels

Candle stick patterns


- Hammer and Inverse hammer show that despite the selling pressure, market closed on a high.

- Reverse of Hammer and Inverse Hammer
