Introduction

- The birth of Jesus Christ or the First Christmas is the most celebrated event almost in
the whole world.
- The birth of Jesus we saw a different perspective of who God is.
- We have a clearer understanding of the Character of God.
- So today let us look on four very important message of the birth of Jesus!
- These will be the first four important things we need to understand about Christmas
or the birth of Jesus. Let us read...

Isaiah 7:14 NIV

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give
birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

Matthew 1:23 NIV

[23] "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him
Immanuel"---which means, "God with us."

- Christmas main message is...

The birth of Jesus means God is with us!

- Before Jesus’ time people had an immense anticipation of a “divine being” that
is either in far away heaven that would eventually show or make their
presence felt among human being.
- Nong panahon nila matindi ang spirituality ng mga tao but of course majority of
them are pagan beliefs.
- The Jews are waiting for their Messiah, that would show great power and
miracles but eventually set them free from their enemies oppression.
- While the gentiles or specially the entire Roman empire are so religious that
they had so many gods.
- Therefore the coming of Jesus is the fulfillment of all of their hopes and
expectation of God.
- But they never recognized God in Jesus.

- Today Christian or non Christians, they view or believed that God is an

absentee God.
- That all the miracles we had read in the bible is either obsolete or just a myth.
- feeling natin noon gumagawa ng milagro ang Diyos pero hindi na ngayon.
- O kaya naman baka talagang kwento lang yon.
- Or possibly God really leave us alone after he created everything and let us
leave on our own.

- The most important thing we need to remember during this season is...

GOD IS WITH US

- Now just let us ay that again.... God is with us, now say it on a more personal
way... God is with me! Say it again as if you really believed! Again now
believed it in your heart!
- Huwag mo lang sabihin yan dahil pinapaulit ko sa iyo, pero sabihin mo siya ng
me paniniwala at damahin na nasa tabi mo siya... God is with me!

- if God is love, then God’s loves you and he is with you!

- If God is hope, then God gives you hope!
- If God heals, then the God who heals, heals you from every sickness!
- If God is the provider, then God knows and will provide your needs!
- If God is powerful, then God can make all things happen in your life!
- If all of that you know about the goodness of God, he is now saying with you! I
am walking with you, God is with you!

- That is why when Jesus comes on earth through a virgin birth, and as a
human being, He shows 4 major promise to us of who he can become to us!

Isaiah 9:6 NIV

[6] For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on
his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

1. He is a wonderful Counselor.

- Common problems of humanity is being confused, anxious, worried,

discouraged, fear of the unknown, or really don’t know what to do during trials,
problems, or challenges in life. We are looking for right counsel.
- Remember, Jesus is also called wonderful counselor!
- He would now only encourage you, nor motivate you, but give you counsel that
will show you the way how to overcome problems and challenges in life!
- His counsel is not burdensome but “wonderful”.
- He will only give you wise counsel.

2. He is A Mighty God

- God who is powerful is not actually an absentee God, because today because
of the birth and coming of Jesus, God is with us!
- The God who makes miracles, the God who is powerful, the God who can do
all things, the God who makes the impossible possible.
- During this season for some of us, we have problems, challenges or some are
sick and may seems all hopes are gone, good news Jesus is also the Mighty
God! The God who makes all things possible and he is powerful to solve all of
your problems!

3. He is also an Everlasting Father

- Before the Jewish nation view God not as a father, but Jehovah, the all
powerful and holy God. More of a disciplinary God who must not be leveled as
to the position of a human father.
- But when Jesus came, Jesus did not only showed the Fatherhood of God but
he actually demonstrate to all who had seen him!
- He cared for the children, he become the father to the fatherless, he showed
kindness and love to the unloved and sinners.
- You may not feel the love of a father or ever experienced having a father or
had a very bad experience with your father. Today you have a father who can
really love you, accept you, take care of you and really become a father not
temporarily but become your everlasting father.
- Jesus coming is the beginning of you having a father who will never leave nor
forsake you and love you for eternity.

4. He is our Prince of Peace

- People usually seek security, assurance, wealth, and acceptance all for the
reason of wanting to have a peace of mind!
- Marami siguro sa atin ang wala talagang peace of mind, worried ka sa mga
bayarin at gastusin mo this Christmas season.
- Or ang dami mong problema sa family, sa work, sa ministry mo or sa
relationship mo and ang hirap mawala ng worries, ng anxiety, or ng doubts
and nadodown ka na. Then you need to realized and let Jesus become your
Prince of Peace!
- Kasi siya lang naman talaga ang nagbibigay ng peace of mind sa atin!
- This is the only thing that we cannot really buy or have kahit marami ka pang
pera.
- Because true peace only come from Jesus. And today he wants you to have
this peace that gives your mind and heart true peace and joy!

Challenge

- For the past month or thhis whole year maaring marami sa atin ang super
nadodown na, nadidiscourage na, or nawawalan na ng fire, ng passion, ng
hope.
- Or marami sa atin nag susurvive na lang sa relationship niya kay Lord dahil sa
dami ng struggles and burden mo sa buhay.
- Puede ba before we end this year and before we celebrate christmas, let us
just go back to Jesus, who is with us!
- Believed that...

Jesus is God and he is with us!

That Jesus is your wonderful counselor, your everlasting father,
your Mighty God and your prince of peace!

- I know a lot of you really want to have this kind of realtionship sa knaya and to
bring back all that loving relationship and faith in Jesus.
- So why not let us come before our God today and renew that faith and
relationship with him!
