Hi, everyone!
I’m Yasuko. Welcome to my new blog!
It’s Monday afternoon and I’m writing on my laptop
in my bedroom. Usually I’m at school on Mondays,
but there’s no school today. So I’m enjoying my
one-day vacation!
Dad is working. He works in a hospital near our
home. Mom works, too, but only on Wednesdays
and Fridays. She’s downstairs in the kitchen
making dinner. My brother Takuma isn’t at home
right now. He’s playing baseball with his friends.
He’s a fantastic baseball player and plays on the
school team, but I’m terrible at it. I can’t do any
sports at all and I hate P.E. classes! My favorite
subject is Spanish. I’m OK at it, I think.
My friends Danny and Nina are here with me in my
bedroom. We’re in the same class at school. Danny
is playing the guitar and Nina is singing. Danny is
good at the guitar and he’s in a band called Toxik.
They’re great. But Nina isn’t very good at singing ...
Please stop, Nina!
It’s very hot today. I’m happy that I’m not in my
school uniform! It’s a skirt and shirt for the girls, and
a shirt and pants for the boys. But today we’re all
wearing T-shirts and shorts!
