IT’S HOW WE DESIGN OUR PRODUCTS

Poly sorbents rely mainly on how much exposed surface
area there is within the weave. The finer the melt-blown
fibers, the greater the amount of exposed surface area
for absorption.

The United Sorbents manufacturing process produces the
smallest fibers compared to those of other manufacturers.
Even though this is a tougher process to maintain, it results in
a smoother, tighter finish with typically greater tensile strength
for increased toughness. The loft is adjusted to increase the
air space within the woven fibers for more holding capacity,
increased softness, and more cloth-like drape abilities.

Perfect for marine oil spills, our meltblown sorbents are constructed from a single layer of strong,
uniform polypropylene fibers. Hydrocarbon-based fluids stick to the fibers while water is repelled.
Pads and rolls incinerate to less than two percent ash, will not mildew and will float indefinitely.

 Ideal for jobs where you need to absorb liquids quickly, the sonic bonded sorbents are constructed
from a single layer of high-quality uniform polypropylene fibers. The fibers are then sonically
bonded together for added strength and reduced linting. Available in single, medium and heavy

Made with a greater expose weave, our sweeps really
perform their duties in getting oil and surface sheen
out of the water. More oil is collected with each pass
for maximum absorption, and it is not weighed down
by water.
Pom-Poms offer an effective method to deal with
the recovery of viscous or weathered crudes. Each
Pom-Pom attracts oil and rejects water. Pom-Poms
provide an inexpensive, disposable sorbent for dealing
with heavier oils even in the most adverse conditions
(sub-freezing temperatures).

Pillows contain leaks and absorb drips that are too large for a pad. Drip pans are a great method for
catching and holding leaks under machines or hoses, or when you need to respond quickly to a spill.
Pillow and pan configurations are similar to drip pans except the pillow can be replaced. Replacement
