About the Organisation
L&T Finance Holdings Limited is one of the top-performing Non-banking
financial institutions. The Company has a very huge variety of offerings including
Retail and Mid-Market Finance, which consists of rural products finance,
personal & vehicle finance, microfinance, housing finance, construction
equipment finance, loans and leases and loan against shares. It also has a
wholesale finance segment consists of the project as well as non-project corporate
finance to infra and non-infra companies majorly transportation roads, ports and

About the Individual


Arpit Bhadani is finance professional who is currently working with L&T
Financial Services (India). He is Head Debt Syndication at L&T Financial
Services & currently handling real estate lending division there. The roles he
performs at his job includes analyzing the expected risk associated in a project &
also analyzing expected return in the projects. Along with it check on the accounts
and continuous follow up of the projects.

Methodology Adopted
A set of 6 questions were prepared after taking appointment for telephonic
interview with Mr. Arpit & questions were prepared keeping in mind future
perspective, job role, competencies required, etc.

About the Job


The company prefers Charted Accountants/Management Graduates and the job
which they are offered is of management trainee in which they are rotated into
various departments for three to four months to make them learn about the
organization. These roles are Sales Role, Finance Role & Lending Role, etc. The
promotion to next post will be done after 18 months (if reviews are good from all
superiors then can be directly promoted to Manager post).

Job Description
1) Task: To understand working of all departments for the period of first five
months and then a particular department is allotted as per feedback of
superiors.
2) Technical Skills:
a. Good Hands-on on Microsoft Excel
b. Good Hands-on on Microsoft Word
c. Good Hands-on on Microsoft PowerPoint & should have good
presentation skills.
3) Knowledge: Individual should have a good amount of industry
knowledge. Expected to have basic knowledge of finance subject as of
corporate finance, Financial Accounting, etc.
4) Other Skills & Abilities:
a. Analytical Skills
b. Initiative Taker

c. Problem Solving Approach
d. Team work
e. Time Management, etc.

Job Specification
o Atleast an MBA
o Expertise in Excel: Pivot Table, Macros, other advanced tools
o Should be flexible to work with all department

interviewing Mr. Arpit I simultaneously did this exercise I asked him to just
