SUBJECT : Spot Report re: Recovery and disposal of a vintage lighter with
similar body design of a hand grenade

2. What : Recovery and disposal of a vintage lighter with similar body design of a
hand grenade

3. When : 3:50 PM of January 2, 2020

4. Where : Livestock Venture Farm, Upper Matin-ao, Purok Makisama A, Brgy

Siilway 8, Polomolok, South Cotabato

5. Who : Responding Team: Personnel of Polomolok MPS and EOD, SCPPO

6. How : At about 12:10 PM of January 2, 2020, a cellular phone call was received
by Polomolok MPS from a concerned citizen informing that there was a hard metal object
believed to be explosive found particularly at Livestock Venture Farm, Upper Matin-ao,
Purok Makisama A, Brgy Siilway 8, Polomolok, South Cotabato. Immediately, elements of
Polomolok MPS responded at the aforesaid place to verify the veracity of the report. Initial
investigation disclosed that a certain Mr. Sarate, security guard of the said farm, averred
that while roaming around the farm, he allegedly found a hard metal object, the size of a
fist of a child, on a grassy portion of the farm. Thereafter, upon confirming of the report,
responding personnel of Polomolok MPS requested technical assistance from Explosive
Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team of SCPPO to check and validate the said found metal
object. Consequently, at around 4:30 p.m. of same date, EOD team arrived at the place of
alarm and immediately personnel of Polomolok MPS turned-over to them the said object
for proper disposition. Further, SCPPO EOD team brought the object and proceeded at the
Firing Range located at Brgy Magsaysay, Polomolok, South Cotabato for disposal and
activity ended at about 5:20 PM of same date. Investigation further disclosed that after
disposal, EOD personnel collected the fragments left at the blast site and brought to their
Office for examination and later turned out from their analysis that said hard metal object
was a vintage lighter with similar body design of a hand grenade based on the recovered
pieces of disintegrated parts.

What : Found of allege hard metal object believe to be unidentified explosive. 2. Where : At
livestock venture farm, Upper Matin-ao, Purok Makisama A, Brgy Siilway 8, Polomolok, South
Cotabato. 3. When : OOA 03:50 o’clock in the afternoon of January 02, 2019. 4. How : On or
about 03:55 o’clock in the afternoon of this date cellular phone call received by this Station from a
concern citizen informing that there was an allege hard metal object believe to be unidentified
explosive found at the aforesaid place. Immediately elements of this station responded to the
reported place to verify the veracity of the report. 5. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that
certain Mr. Sarate, farm guard of the said place while he’s roaming around the farm when he
allegedly found the hard metal object, size of a fist of a child on the grassy portion of the ground.
Upon confirming the report, this station requested the assistance of SCPPO EOD personnel to
check and validate the said object. 6. At around 04:30 P.M of this date the EOD team arrived at
the reported place and right away responding personnel of this station turn-over the said hard
metal object which believe to be explosive to them for proper disposition. 7. For information and
progress report will follow.

Per above reterence, please be informed that after SCPPO EOD team received the tound hard
metal object believe to be explosive from personnel of this station, they proceeded to the Finng
Range located at Brgy Magsaysay, Polomolok, South Cotabato for disposal and the activity ended
around 5:20 PM of same date. Subsequenty, EOD personnel collected the ragments left at the
blast site and brought to their office for examination and later tumed out from their analysis that
said hard metal object was a "Vintage lighter with similar body design of a hand grenade based on
